Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council Annual Art Scholarship. The Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council is pleased to announce its annual Art Scholarship.

Eligibility: This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue a major in one of the arts. Possible fields of study include: fine art, music, photography, theater, set design, architecture, literature, creative writing, poetry or other arts field of study.

Students must be graduating from a high school located in Arapahoe County or be a resident of the City of Greenwood Village, Colorado. 

Scholarship Awards: Two $3,000 scholarships will be awarded

Confirmation of acceptance from the college or art school you plan to attend must be submitted before the scholarship is awarded. Proof of full time enrollment is also required. 

Eligible Work:
1) Fine art, painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, etc. 
2) Music, dance, theatrical performance, etc. 
3) Literature, including,but not limited to: short stories,poems, persuasive piece or an
    excerpt from a longer piece of writing.

Entry Details:
For 2D and 3D art, up to six (6) images are allowed. You are encouraged to submit the maximum number of images. NOTE: If you are chosen as a finalist, you may be required to bring your original pieces to the Curtis Center for the Arts, 2349 East Orchard Road, Greenwood Village for the jurors to view. We will be in possession of your work for approximately one week in March 2019.  

For performances, up to three (3) audio and three (3) video submissions are allowed. NOTE: You MUST submit at least one video so that the jurors can see as well as hear your performance.

For literature submissions, up to three (3) entries are allowed. The complete short story, poem or persuasive piece is required; excerpts are allowed for longer pieces. 

NOTE: In order to attach media to your application, you will first need to upload your media in the "My Portfolio" tab. 

A resume and at least one letter of recommendation (up to three are allowed and encouraged) are required. These are uploaded in the application as PDF documents. 

Additional Information:

Deadline: Monday, March 4, 2019 (11:59pm). Late entries will not be accepted.
