The City of O’Fallon, Missouri invites artists and high-end crafters to submit their work to the 2019 Fall Into the Arts art fair. Artists and crafters in both the folk and fine-art tradition are eligible.
This annual art show and sale is celebrating its inaugural year. This event is free and open to the public on Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held on the grounds of our newest park, O’Day Park (set to open mid-May). We plan to showcase up to thirty artists to exhibit and sell their work.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING ARTWORK
All artists and artisans are eligible to apply.
ART SPECIFICATIONS
•Art must be the original work of the artist and created within the past three years.
•Art must be for sale at a fair market price.
◦Price works to sell.
◦Consider quality, technique and experience of you and your art.
◦Any entry priced over $2,000 will not be accepted.
◦The price of art is determined by the artist. Art price may not be changed after the online application is submitted.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1.Only one submission per artist or group booth
2.An artist biography must be submitted with art entry. All artists will have a 1000 word or less artist biography displayed for the program. Biographies may include information about the artist’s interest and experience with art, techniques, their philosophy and personal connection to art. PLEASE proof carefully.
3.Artwork entered into the show must be the same artwork submitted in the online review. Substitutions will not be accepted.
TWO-PHASE JURY PROCESSPhase 1 is the initial review by the jury of digital images (JPEG), biographical information and any other documentation to pre-select and narrow down the applicant pool to 60. Each entrant is required to submit one digital image of each piece of art. Images should be in JPEG format. Please take care in photographing your work to ensure a quality image.
Phase 2 is the in-person jury of the remaining sixty applicants. Art reviewed in Phase 2 will use the same materials as in Phase 1. The jury will go through up to three rounds using a number system, and utilizing staff as advisors.ART SALES
