2019 CALL FOR ARTISTS
UNIVERSITY OF DENVER JURIED ALUMNI SHOW

The Vicki Myhren Gallery at the University of Denver is accepting submissions for our 2019 Juried Alumni Exhibition, on view May 16 - June 16, 2019. The exhibition is designed to help identify and bring together the many alumni of the University of Denver, and showcases their creative talent across a variety of contemporary approaches to art-making.
Eligible artists have received a degree from the University of Denver. Though we welcome graduates of the School of Art and Art History, alumni from a variety of disciplines are encouraged to apply! Artists who are not DU Alumni will not be accepted. Works will be selected for the exhibition by a panel of three jurors:
- Andrea Wallace, Director of Artistic Programs at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center
- Master printmaker Sue Oehme of Oehme Graphics
- Cordelia Taylor, artist and technology department administrator at the Denver Art Museum
Submissions will now be accepted online through April 4, 2019. Artists must submit a minimum of 1 and maximum of 5 images. Up to three video files can also be submitted. Participants will additionally be required to provide information about the installation requirements of your work, an artist or project statement of no more than 500 words, and a current resume or cv. There is no fee to participate!
Participants will be notified of selections and deliver their works either in person or via mail to the Vicki Myhren Gallery. See the abbreviated timeline below, and a complete listing of important dates, shipping information, and acceptable file formats on the following pages.

SHIPPING AND TRANSPORT
Selected artists are expected to drop off, ship, or arrange for other transportation for their work. Artists within 30 miles of Denver, Colorado who have oversized works that would not be accommodated with a normal sized vehicle may arrange for the Vicki Myhren Gallery art transport van to pick up their works. Artists who are not within 30 Miles of Denver, Colorado will be responsible for shipping their work to the Vicki Myhren Gallery. Works should be addressed to the gallery’s Shwayder Art Building facilities at the University of Denver at:

Artists who wish to drop off their materials in person may do so as soon as they are notified of acceptance. Please contact Lauren Hartog at lauren.hartog@du.edu to arrange a drop off period at the same address as above.
After the Juried Alumni exhibition closes, the Vicki Myhren Gallery will de-install the selected works during the week of June 17 – 23, 2019. Artists wishing to pick up their work during this period should also contact Lauren to arrange a time at the same email address above. If your work needs to shipped or transported back to you, Vicki Myhren Gallery will arrange for and pay for the cost of the journey back, up to $150. Please make sure we have a proper address on file for the return of your works!
OUR FACILITY
The Vicki Myhren Gallery is open 12 PM to 5 PM (MST) Tuesday through Sunday, with extended hours on Thursdays through 7 PM. Our gallery is staffed both by professionals and DU students.
During operational hours, attendants will be in the gallery at all times. Our facility is accessible only by secured access during non-operational hours by Vicki Myhren staff. The gallery is temperature controlled and monitored closely by staff and DU Campus safety. Selected artists will receive a contract about insurance policies.
