The Tubac Center of the Arts presents The Wine Dark Sea.  A show that challenges artists to create works of art, painting, and sculpture in a variety of media. The exhibition features a solvable mystery for patrons and interactive installations.

Showcase mark making, color treatments, functional or non-functional pieces, humot, interactive work, experimentation, revolutionary ideas, decoding words, poetry, film, conceptual pieces, etc. Artists can provide clues that will lead viewers to solve or decipher outcomes and meanings.  In addition, artworks can invite viewers to imagine and develop multiple interpretations that can be recorded in writing or by dictation.  The viewer’s participation becomes part of the work of art.  Consider ideas such as Brueghel, Rashomon, Neils Bohr, Emily Dickinson's Hope is the Thing With Feathers, paradoxes,  and the wine-dark sea.

ARTWORK:

Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted.  Entry must be original, entirely the work of the artist, executed within the last 24 months, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA.

No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close of the exhibition on Saturday, June 1, 2019, including sold art.
