SYNC10 celebrates the staying power of art with a juried exhibition designed to give artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in an elegant setting in an established art gallery. This exhibition will be juried by Louise Martorano Executive Director of RedLine gallery located in Denver. SYNC10 is organized by SYNC Gallery.

SYNC Gallery is pleased to celebrate its 10th year! It was formed as a member-owned gallery in 2009 by a group of artists interested in having a strong presence in Denver’s Santa Fe Art District. The gallery exhibits a variety of contemporary abstract and conceptual works by a collective of emerging and established artists. SYNC Gallery has become a destination for art lovers. It is located in the Art District on Santa Fe Drive in Denver which is known for its vibrant art scene.

Exhibition Juror: Louise Martorano
Louise Martorano is the executive Director of RedLine Contemporary Art Center located in Denver, Colorado. She is an energetic and passionate art enthusiast and cultivator of artists. She studied Art History and Music and has an extensive background working with career-oriented artists. Recently, she was recognized for her outstanding leadership in the nonprofit sector and awarded a Livingston Fellowship by the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation.
RedLine Contemporary Art Center was founded in 2008 with the goal of supporting emerging artists and fostering engagement between artists and communities. Their ultimate objective is to create positive social change. Their facilities include one of the largest exhibition spaces in Denver and numerous studios that are awarded to artist-residents through a highly-competitive selection process.

Eligibility
~ All artists aged 18 and over are eligible.
~ All artists residing in the United States are eligible.
~ Accepted artwork may be hand-delivered to and picked up from SYNC Gallery.
~ Accepted artwork may also be shipped to SYNC Gallery’s agent. Shipping address and instructions will be provided to accepted artists.
~ Artists may submit a maximum of 3 individual works of art.
~ Awards, Best in Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, will be determined and presented by the juror during the Opening Reception on May 17, 2019.

Exhibition Guidelines
~ Only original works of art will be accepted.
~ All work must be suitably framed or ready for installation.
~ All 2-D and 3-D media, styles and techniques are eligible.
~ Audio and Video media is not eligible.
~ All work must have been created within the last 2 years
~ Two-dimensional work must not exceed 36” in the horizontal dimension, including the frame and must not weigh more than 10 pounds.
~ All two-dimensional work, framed or unframed, MUST be wired and ready to hang. Work with sawtooth hangers will NOT be accepted.
~ Three-dimensional work designed to be displayed on a pedestal must not exceed 18” in diameter. Please note if a pedestal is needed.
~ Three-dimensional work designed to be displayed on the floor must not exceed 36” in diameter and must not weigh more than 50 pounds.
~ Three-dimensional work designed to be suspended from the ceiling must not exceed 36” in diameter and 84” in length and must not weigh more than 20 pounds.
~ Installation of three-dimensional work must be coordinated with the curator.
Sales
~ SYNC Gallery will conduct all sales, collect sales tax and handle all associated fees.
~ SYNC Gallery will retain a 30% commission on all sales.
~ Payment for sold artwork will be mailed on June 21, 2019. No early payments will be made.
How To Enter
~ Entries will only be accepted through the CaFE online system.
~ The deadline for entries is April 28, 2019 at midnight MDT.
~ Artists may enter up to 3 works of art.
~ The entry fee is $35 for up to 3 artworks.* All fees are nonrefundable.
~ Submissions must include the following:
-Artists’ contact information, including mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address
-The title of each artwork submitted along with year completed, medium, dimensions and sales price
-Artist statement
~ Images submitted may be used for publicity purposes. Additionally, SYNC Gallery reserves the right to photograph any work in the show for publicity purposes.
*A note about the entry fee. We strongly believe that artists should get something for their entry fee! Any artist whose work is not accepted will receive feedback from a group of experienced artists, curators and the exhibit administrator. This feedback is designed to help artists be more successful with future submissions.
Delivery and Pick-up of Work
~ Work may be hand-delivered to SYNC Gallery on May 12 & 13, 2019 from 1:00 - 5:00 each day.
~ Shipped artwork MUST arrive by May 13, 2019. Shipping address and instructions will be provided to accepted artists. Do not ship artwork directly to SYNC Gallery.
~ All unsold artwork can be picked up from SYNC Gallery on June 15, 2019 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm or June 16, 2019 from Noon - 4:00 pm.
~ Return shipping of unsold artwork will take place by June 19, 2019.
