The 2019 Roslyn Art Festival will begin on Saturday August 3 with an artists’ reception with music, hors d’oeuvres, adult and children’s’ beverages and an Art Bag Wine Grab. The program will be between 7:30 and 9:00 program at the newly opened Roslyn Creative Center in Roslyn, Washington.  

Other activities are a Friday night street dance. On Saturday, August 3, including Artists-at-Work exhibitions and Try-It Art stations in downtown Roslyn will be in many locales in Roslyn. Local and reginal artists will also display art for sale in more than 15 downtown businesses.

The goals of the festival are to promote art and artists, encourage appreciation of the historical qualities of Roslyn Washington and support local businesses.   The show is sponsored by RTown Community and organized by the RTown Art Festival Committee. Proceeds from fees and commissions will be used to plan and promote future art events in Roslyn.

Roslyn Art Festival Juried Art Show
The 2019 Roslyn Art Fest Juried Art Show invites submissions of art including photographs, paintings, drawings, collages, fabric art, lithographs and other art that can be hung on a wall.  The theme is Memories.  Art might take a literal, abstract, or imaginary approach to the theme.   Awards will be given for First, Second, and Third Places, People’s Choice and special awards.   Maximum size of art is 18” X 24” excluding frame. The deadline for submissions is July 1.  Juried Art will be displayed from August 3 through September 2 at the Roslyn Creative Center in Roslyn, Washington. Works sold while displayed will be charged a 40% commission.  All items will be available for sale.

Submission Fees: The fee is $10 per submission. Submissions shall be made to CallForEntry.org.  The deadline for submission is July 1. Detailed submission guidelines are available there.
Jurors are nationally known artists with art show judging experience. Cash awards are given.
 
Saturday Night Wine Reception
The Wine Reception will be held from 7:30 to 9:00 in the Roslyn Creative Center in Roslyn, Washington. The evening includes wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Winners of art awards will be announced that evening.

Wine Grab Raffle
During the reception, for a mere $20, guests can buy a ticket for the Wine Grab. Wine Grab ticket holders choose a bottle as they check out of the event that evening. Bottles of wine will be anonymous and beautifully presented in paper bags decorated by local artists. Wines may be worth up to $65. Some bags may contain prizes.

“TRY-IT” Art for Families & Youth
“TRY-IT” Art for Families and Youth: RTown Community will host a number of “TRY-IT” art stations in Roslyn during the Festival. TRY-IT stations in the past have offered mini-workshops in hat making, water color and rubber stamp making. All children and adults are welcome to participate. 2019  Roslyn Famers Market

Stay the night and enjoy the Roslyn farmers Market from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday. Local produce and a range of foods and crafts will be available to over 75 booths.(roslynfamersmarket.org). The Market draws an average of 3,000 visitors each Sunday.
