Publishing Selected artists will be asked for high-resolution images to be published in the next print and digital issue of Salann Magazine if not received during submission. Artists are also required to submit their artist statement and biography to be used for marketing purposes and for selected magazine features. All published artists will receive a FREE hard copy of the magazine (artists are asked to pay for shipping). Artists will also be promoted on social media and/or the website. Salann Magazine retains the right to layout the magazine at their complete discretion, and share works and information on social media as they see fit. Submission Fee Salann Magazine is an independent publication. For each edition, 98% of the magazine is dedicated to artist content, meaning that artists pay a fixed fee of $40 with the opportunity get their work published. With this magazine competition, Salann Magazine strives to give artists at all stages of their career an opportunity to get exposure for their work not only by publication and online promotion, but by connecting the artists to galleries and other show venues as well as using the magazine as a resource catalog for our consulting services. No submissions for digital and print issues will be considered unless the required submission fee is paid. The submission fee is non-refundable irrespective of whether the submission is published or not. Copyright Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and written works and agrees to give Salann Magazine a perpetual, royalty free, non-exclusive right to print the artist's submission(s) in the magazine and other related promotional materials. In short, artist gives Salann Magazine permission to publish submitted images in the print magazine and gives permission to use those images in social media, Salann Magazine website, etc. for promoting purposes without legal recourse. All artists retain 100% ownership of their submitted images. Artist agrees that all artwork and information that is submitted is true and accurate. Commissions If any artwork is to sell due to Salann Magazine's efforts, Salann Magazine will not collect any commission on the art itself. In the case that Salann Magazine approaches an artist to use their artwork or artwork image for a consulting project, Salann Magazine solely charges the client for consultation and print production fees. In this case, the artist will receive a contract with further details. Upon submission, artist agrees to all terms above.
