2020 Women & the VOTE seeks artists submissions celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Amendment 19, which granted women the right to vote. This amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920 and will be celebrated in this exhibition at the nationally accredited Loveland Museum from February 8 through April 5, 2020.
Artists of all 2D and 3D media are encouraged to submit work related to the Suffrage Movement, its history and visionary leaders, and/or a personal reflection upon women’s continued quest for equal rights. The exhibition, VOTE: A Centennial Celebration, is part of a larger community project that will host several events within Northern Colorado and beyond during the 2020 calendar year.
This exhibition is sponsored by the 2020 Women & the VOTE Steering Committee, which will oversee all exhibit planning and operations relating to this call.

APPLICATION INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS
This call for entry is open to all artists of two and three-dimensional media. Artwork selected for this exhibition is intended to celebrate, educate and/or reflect upon the social impact of the19th Amendment.
- To ensure a variety of work on exhibition, artwork should be contained within a 24” x 36” space. Sculpture will be permitted. Works larger than 24" x 36" may be considered as space allows.
- Artists may submit up to 3 individual artworks in this application. Please be sure to label each submission carefully with correct title, medium and sales price (if for sale).
- Artwork selection will be based upon the individual artworks submitted.
- Artwork must be of professional quality and must be an original design created by the artist submitting the application.
- Artists will not receive compensation for being accepted into the exhibition; however, artwork may be available for sale.
- All sales will be handled by the Loveland Museum, which will retain a 35% of the purchase price. Sales checks will be mailed to artists within 30 days of the exhibit closing date.
- All artists must submit a complete application by the specified deadline.
- Applications will be reviewed by a jury panel consisting of the 2020 Women & the VOTE Steering Committee and 2 guest jurors.
- A cash prize of $250 will be awarded to the artwork selected as Best in Show. Additional prizes may be awarded.
- Artist is responsible for the shipping and insuring of their accepted work.
- The Loveland Museum reserves the right to hang the artwork as deemed most appropriate within the gallery.
- Artwork selected for this exhibition must be delivered to the Loveland Museum ready to hang: framed (when appropriate), protective glass (when appropriate), professionally fabricated and durable for public display. 2D artwork must be wired to hang and must have finished edges. 3D work must be stable and able to rest upon pedestals provided by the gallery.
- All artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
- As stated, art sales will be permitted. All artwork information must be provided by Jan. 10, 2020 to be included in the exhibit.
