The Lincoln Gallery and the Thompson Valley Art League invite you to submit entries for the 2019 REGIONAL FINE ART SHOW.  Cash awards will be presented for Best of ShowFirst Place & Artistic Excellence in each category plus a People’s Choice award.

 The exhibition will run from Sep 6th, through October 4th, with the Artists’ Reception and Awards Presentation on Sep 13th.

Eligibility:
Open to all artists living in Colorado and its contiguous states including Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah, plus Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada.  Submitted work must be in one of the 6 categories listed below.  The Lincoln Gallery retains the right to re-categorize work they feel is incorrectly entered.  Work must be original art, not copied from published photos or works by other artists and produced within the last 3 years.  No installations or sets of works to make one entry will be accepted.  The jury reserves the right to disqualify any work which it considers to be in poor taste, inappropriate or does not adhere to the stated qualifications.  Entries that have been accepted or received cash awards from previous Lincoln Gallery or Thompson Valley Art League sponsored shows are not permitted.

Entries:
Only entries received online through CaFE’ (callforentry.org) will be considered.  Deadline for entry is midnight, Aug 11, 2019.  All artists will be notified by email of the jury’s decisions by Aug 17th.

While the Lincoln Gallery will undertake the utmost care in handling all entries, the Gallery will not be held liable for damage occurring either while in the gallery or during shipping.  Insuring the artwork is the responsibility of the artist.

We are pleased to announce that our Juror for this event will be artist, Patti Andre.  Patti has taught art and been a professional artist for over 45 years.  Her work has sold extensively throughout the United States and abroad and she has participated in many single and group exhibitions. She works out of her studio in Loveland, Colorado.

 Patti is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, The National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society and Plein Air Arts Colorado.  She is also an associate member of Oil Painters of America, Allied Artist and Rocky Mountain Plein air Painters. 

Fees:

The $45 entry fee includes up to 3 entries.  Additional entries are $10 each for a maximum of six (6) entries total.  Fees are non-refundable.  Your email address will be our primary contact source.  Only works selected by the juror(s) will be displayed and eligible for awards.  

Deliveries: 
Hand delivered and shipped work will be received between Aug 28-31, at the Lincoln Gallery between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm.   Any artwork not received by Aug 31, may not be exhibited.  Shipping containers will be stored and reused for return shipment.   If a piece is sold and the artist wishes the shipping container returned, the Lincoln Gallery must be notified by email.   A prepaid return-shipping label must be included with all shipped artwork.  Return shipments will be shipped by Oct 12.  Please deliver or ship to:

Details:

  • Delivered artwork must match the submitted image juried into show.  No substitutions will be allowed.
  • Flat work (including frame) shall not exceed a linear measurement of 75 inches (length + widthand must be wired for hanging.  Works exceeding these dimensions or with saw-tooth hangers will not be exhibited.  Plaques will be accepted if they are properly wired.  Frames and matting must be in new or like new condition.
  • Gallery-wrapped photographs and paintings are acceptable as long as all sides are painted or finished with no visible staples.   Gallery-wrapped canvas must be secured on stretcher bars of at least 1” in thickness.  
  • Flatwork to be hung must weigh no more than 25 lbs.  Any work deemed to be less than represented in entry or with presentation/appearance deemed to be unacceptable will not be exhibited.
  • Three-dimensional art may not measure more than 36 inches in any one dimension and weigh no more than 50 lbs.  Wall-mounted relief works are considered 3-D and must be wired for hanging and weigh no more than 25 lbs.
  • Photography manipulated by digital software is not considered to be Mixed Media and should be submitted in the Photography category.
  • Artists may enter multiple categories but total entries may not exceed 6. Artwork not meeting any of the above criteria will be rejected.
  • Please review the above size restrictions.  Your work will be rejected if it exceeds the stated size parameters.

 We encourage all accepted artists to submit one miniature piece in their accepted category that will be displayed and available for purchase during the show. Wall hung miniatures may not exceed 12” on the longest side including frame and 3D miniatures will be limited to 8” on longest side.  All miniatures must sell for $150 or less.

Sales:
All works must be for sale and preferably remain on display until the close of the exhibit except for miniatures, which may go home with the purchaser. The Lincoln Gallery will collect a 35% commission on all sales.  Payment for sold items will be mailed to the artists on the 20th of the month following the close of the show.

 Opening Reception:
The Awards Ceremony will take place during the Opening Reception to be held on Sep 13th, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Lincoln Gallery, 429 North Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO, 80537.
