The days are getting shorter. Night is coming sooner, and the dark is a bigger part of our lives this time of year. R Gallery wants to explore the idea of darkness in art.
Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the 'Darkness' exhibit to be held at the R Gallery, Boulder, Colorado. In this exhibit, your artwork should convey a feeling of darkness. Darkness can be either a dark subject matter, dark shades, or whatever darkness means to you. All styles and mediums will be considered.
R Gallery's goal is to create exhibits that showcase as many of Colorado's talented artists and their different styles as possible. You are welcome to submit multiple images, however we normally select only one piece from each selected artist. If submitting fewer than three artworks, you will need to fill in the remaining required entries with duplicate images (i.e. submit your first entry twice).
The show is run from Oct 29 - Nov 17, 2019, and is open to all mediums.
R Gallery is the newest fine art gallery in downtown Boulder, Colorado. We focus on Colorado artists working in all styles in all mediums. Join us for our next exhibition.

Size: It is best to submit pieces less than 30" wide, including frame or case. We only have a few spots for pieces up to 48" wide. Please make sure your submission has full framed dimensions so we can plan for the size.
Shipping: Accepted works must arrive no later than Oct 27, 2019. Work will be returned by Nov 29, 2019 unless otherwise agreed upon. A prepaid return label must be provided if sending the work by carrier.
Sales: All sales will be handled through R Gallery. A 50% commission will be charged. All pieces must remain up for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale. R Gallery reserves the right to sell accepted works online during the exhibition. R Gallery will send checks to the artist for the sale of their work by the 15th of the following month when the sale occurs.
