"Fun Sized Art" is a juried group art exhibition at the Vanessa Lacy Gallery. Show will run from 10/18/19- 11/8/19 and the opening reception will coincide with the Livestock Exchange Buildings annual Fall Open Studios event, drawing larger than usual crowds.. The theme of the show is affordable art under 14" or under in all dimensions. The gallery is seeking art in all mediums, 2-D and 3-D, traditional and non-traditional, that is fun sized. Art that follows the theme, that is exhibition ready, and will create the most beautiful and cohesive exhibition will be chosen by a jury including owner Vanessa Lacy and several local artists.
Artwork must be for sale and exhibition ready when it arrives at the gallery. Drop off dates are Saturday, October 12th, 11-3 pm or Tuesday, October 15th, 1-5 pm. If artists are shipping work, it must arrive by October 12th and the artwork must come with a paid return shipping label in the box so it is ready to be returned promptly at the end of the show. Pick up dates are Saturday, November 9th, 11-3 pm or Tuesday, November12th 1, 1-5 pm.
Artists who ship work must include a tracking number and purchase shipping insurance for their work. Gallery is not responsible for damage or theft in the shipping process. 2-D artwork must have a wire on the back and lay flush on the wall when hung. Gallery will provide pedestals or shelving for 3-D work. The deadline to submit to this call for entries is October 6th, 2019 at midnight MST. All artwork must be original and available for sale. No reproductions will be accepted, not including photography.
