About the Jurors:

Don Ament made his first photographs at the age of ten with a Polaroid Big Swinger camera, and has been photographing professionally since high school. From 1995 to the present, he has exhibited his art photography full-time at exhibitions across the USA. His original photographs are in the collections of over 5000 patrons.

Ament was born with cataracts in both eyes, and had several surgical operations in the early 1960’s to improve his vision. However, he remains legally blind in one eye, experiences visual challenges in his other eye, and does not have normal 3-D vision.

"I am excited to be a juror for the important annual Nude exhibition at the Lexington Art League. As a prior participant in the show myself, I am keenly aware of the wide diversity of concepts expressed. Also, having my studio at the Loudon House has been a wonderful opportunity over the years to intimately explore the variations and themes of the show over time. I look forward to working with artist Helene Steene in the daunting artwork selection process for the 2019 All-Kentucky Nude."
