ENTRIES AND FEES
Each artist may submit up to 3 entries (indoor and outdoor combined) for the total of $15. Additional entries cost $5 per entry with a limit of 6 total. Checks should be payable to ”Emerge Gallery.” All entries must be submitted digitally and received by Saturday, Jan. 19th, 2019. Images of work may be submitted as jpgs. Payment and registration can be submitted online at emergegallery.com/artist-opp.

Emerge Gallery will retain a 40% commission (30% for ECU students.) If work is not for sale, an insurance value must be given and NFS stated or work will not be insured.





INDOOR EXHIBITION
Eligibility

This exhibition is open to all artists ages 18 and up. Any three-dimensional media is eligible. Indoor submissions must fit through a standard sized door. Work must be ready for display. All entries must be submitted digitally.

Drop-Off & Pickup
Accepted indoor work must be dropped off or received between Thursday, February 27th and Friday, February 28th, between 10am - 2pm, and Saturday, February 29th between 10am - 12pm. to Emerge Gallery, located at 404 S. Evans Street, Greenville, NC 27858. Shipped work must include a prepaid mailing label for return. If shipped, received by Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Accepted indoor work must be picked up at the conclusion of the exhibition on Friday, March 27th, between 10am - 8pm and Saturday, March 28th between 10am - 2pm. Work left after the exhibition will become the property of Emerge Gallery. Work that is shipped will be sent back starting April 1, 2020.

Insurance
Emerge Gallery will provide insurance for accepted indoor work from the drop-off dates through the last day of the exhibition. Work will not be insured after March 29th, 2019. Work will be insured only for 60 percent of the sales price. Insurance value must be a realistic value and may be questioned. Proof of similar sales will be requested, if necessary. Consent to reproduce for publicity, catalog, or educational purposes is assumed unless specifically reserved in writing.
Submission of entry constitutes agreement to all conditions.

 

OUTDOOR EXHIBITION
This exhibition is open to all artists ages 18 and up. All entries must be submitted digitally. Work should be large scale to fit one of the ten sculpture pads in various locations. Sculpture pads range from 4’x5’ to 10’in diameter. Artists must be available to install and uninstall their own work. They may have some help from the entity where the sculpture is
placed. Liability insurance may be asked for in the City of Greenville’s location. All work must remain on exhibit from the end of Feb. 2020 through the end of Feb. 2021. Work must be able to be exhibited outdoors and utilize materials that are exterior grade.

Drop Off & Pick Up
Installation and uninstallation of accepted work will be coordinated by the exhibiting entities. Aid with installation may be offered by the exhibiting entity, but liability and arts insurance will not be covered until after installation and before uninstallation. Contracts for a one-year term will be conducted with each entity and the chosen artists typically for one year from the last week in February 2020 until the last week in February 2019.

Prizes
There will be 10 honorariums awarded of $1,000 each.

Insurance 
Work will be insured by the presenting entities. Liability insurance is required by the City of Greenville’s site; however, the other sites will be covered by the presenting entity. There are 17 sculpture pads total within Pitt County. Work will be insured only for 60 percent of the sales price and only for the exhibition dates (does not include installation and uninstallation.) Meet the Juror
Born and raised in northwest Kansas, Glenn Zweygardt received his BFA from Wichita State University in sculpture and painting. He then earned his MFA from the Rinehart School of Sculpture at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. For over 40 years, Glenn has been an active sculptor and educator. With more than 50 solo exhibitions and multiple purchase awards to his name, he shows works both nationally and internationally. His sculptures are included in many university, museum, outdoor and private collections. Now an emeritus Professor of Sculpture at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, Glenn continues to make signature sculptures in his Alfred Station studio. His creations of steel, ductile iron, stainless steel, cast glass, cast bronze and aluminum are often combined with stone from around the world. These sculptures range from monumental outdoor works to small, intimate pieces.
