DESCRIPTION: Established, mid-career, and emerging artists are invited to submit original works of art for the 2nd annual exhibition "ART BUCKHEAD - A Pop-Up Show of Exceptional Contemporary Art". Thought-provoking, opinionated, mysterious, reflective, witty...if your work demonstrates your unique artist's voice, then it's eligible.
Held in Atlanta's prestigious Buckhead community, Art Buckhead's mission is to provide a curated exhibition of contemporary artworks to the thriving community of Atlanta, Georgia; America's third fastest-growing metropolitan area. *Due to the success of last year's exhibition, the 2019 show will be expanded to feature more great artists!
ELIGIBILITY: This is a National call, open to all artists over 18 years of age to the extent that their participation is allowed under law.
CATEGORIES ACCEPTED: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Assemblage, Collage, Mixed Media, Fiber Art, Sculpture, Ceramics, Pottery, Wood. This exhibition does not accept video, film, performance art, or installations.
All work must be original. Reprints or work found to be copied from copyrighted work will not be accepted. Reprints from non-copyrighted work are also not permitted. 2D artwork must be wired and ready for hanging with the appropriate hardware included. NO SAW TOOTH HANGERS OR GALLERY CLIPS. No screws, molly bolts, lag bolts, or other anchors will be permitted for displaying artwork. Works that do not adhere to these guidelines will not be exhibited.
SIZE REQUIREMENTS:
2D WORK: At least 1 work with a maximum size of 24" x 24". Additional works should not exceed 48" x 48" maximum.
3D WORK: Maximum 18" x 18" base size x 36" tall (all works to be displayed on a table unless otherwise specified by artist and accepted by show organizers).
All entries must be for sale. Art Buckhead's organizers will charge a 35% commission on all sales. Price determined by artist must be inclusive of the 35% commission. All accepted work MUST remain in the gallery durig the duration of the exhibition unless sold.

All artwork must be identified on the back (or bottom) with the following information clearly printed: Artist name, Title of artwork, Media, Dimensions, Price
IN-PERSON DELIVERY of Accepted Work: All in-person deliveries will be received between 10am and 1pm on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 690 Miami Circle NE, Suite #600, Atlanta, GA 30324. Parking is available at the site. Anyone delivering artwork in person must remove from the Gallery any and all packing materials. Please DO NOT use styrofoam peanuts or their equivalents in packing.
SHIPMENT of Accepted Work: Artists are responsible for all shipping fees. If not delivering in-person, please make every effort to use a commercially made art shipping box. All shipped artwork must arrive by October 22, 2019. Any artwork that arrives past the October 22, 2019 deadline will not be accepted. Shipped work must be in a REUSABLE container with a PRE-PAID return shipping label enclosed in an envelope. Please DO NOT use styrofoam peanuts or their equivalents in packing! All packing material will be reused for returns of your art. Please make sure that the box and materials that you use will adequately protect your work. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work.
Further delivery and shipping instructions, including shipping location, will be supplied to all accepted artists.
RETURN OF WORK: Participating Artists who delivered their art in person will need to pick up unsold work on Saturday, October 26, 2019 between 2pm and 3pm. Any work not picked up by 3pm will be considered a donation to Art Buckhead. Those who shipped their art will have it returned to them in the packaging in which it was sent using the pre-paid return shipping label If Art Buckhead and it's organizers or the shipping carrier determines that the packaging is not adequate to safely ship the art back to the artist, Art Buckhead will contact the artist. The artist must notify Art Buckhead organizers, in writing at artbuckhead@gmail.com, of any changes to their contact information. The artist is solely responsible for any time, materials, storage, shipment, or other changes that may arise from inadequate packaging, delayed or redirected shipments, nonresponse of the artist, or any other artist requests. All additional charges must be paid prior to the return of the art.
SALES AND COMMISSIONS: Sales are the goal! All Artwork must have a price pre-determined by the artist at the time of submission. NO work may be listed as Price on Request (POR). Prices provided by the artist must reflect the 35% commission taken by Art Buckhead organizers on all artwork sold. Artists will be paid their 65% percentage of the sale price by Art Buckhead organizers within thirty (30) days after the exhibition closes.
