The University of Oregon is issuing this RFQ for the procurement of Artworks and Services as described below. The University of Oregon seeks artworks for installation at the University Health Counseling and Testing Center (UHCTC), under construction on the Eugene campus, at the Southwest corner of 13th Avenue and Agate Street. The RFQ may be a proposal to purchase a preexisting artwork(s) or a proposal to create a new artwork(s). Submissions must be processed through the Café website (https://www.callforentry.org/ ). All submissions must meet document requirements below in order to be considered. The University reserves the right to select individual works from future proposals based on the University’s review process. Request for Qualifications This is a request for artist qualifications demonstrating professional standing and capacity to work on this project as well as proposals for preexisting artworks suitable to this site. The total budget for the artworks and all associated costs is not to exceed $70,000.00; this budget amount will include all development, fabrication, delivery, installation, permitting fees and related costs. The request is to commission artworks or purchase preexisting artworks in some or all of the proposed installation locations. Works of art should contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for students, visitors and the University community. The University Health Counseling and Testing Center (UHCTC) functions as the primary resource for health and wellness resources on the University of Oregon campus. Artwork proposals should reinforce the sense of mission. Budget $70,000.00 is allocated to commission a work or works of art or to purchase preexisting work or works of art for the designated installation sites within the University Health Counseling and Testing Center (UHCTC). The art project budgets which will be submitted through the Café website (https://www.callforentry.org/ ) process must include all fees, fabrication, framing, glazing, purchase, insurance, permits, engineering fees, shipping, travel, installation, documentation and any other project costs. Installation Sites The University Health Counseling and Testing Center (UHCTC) will be located at the Southwest corner of 13th Avenue and Agate Street in Eugene, Oregon. Possible installation locations include: Possible art installation locations: Areas are identified in Appendix A. Again, artists may submit proposals for any site or combination of sites. Proposals may be for any combination of commissioned works or preexisting works. See Appendix A for dimensional information of each location and general renderings of the site.
