COLORADO LOCAL- CALL FOR ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Millers & Rossi Contemporary Art’s first ever call for entry exhibition! Keeping up with the changes in our RiNo neighborhood, the gallery is moving in an exciting new direction. We are looking for new artists and we are looking to make a statement!
Our intent at Millers & Rossi is to showcase art which helps us feel connected to our humanity in an ever more urban and digital world. The spaces we live in and the ways we interact are evolving, thus influencing our mindset in ways we might not even realize. Millers & Rossi seeks to represent artists who explore the convergence of personal perspective and our collective experience of this evolving society. We believe that art remains critical to exploring our spectrum of emotion, connection with history,
experience of culture, familiar objects, places, the natural world, the present, and each other. Our space aims to welcome and embrace the artists that look these issues in the eye.
If your art speaks to this in anyway, apply to our upcoming exhibition, Colorado Local. We know the Front Range is full of talented artists and we want to connect with you.

MEDIA ACCEPTED
All forms of media accepted including acrylic, oil, watercolor, ink, photography, mixed media, encaustic, sculpture, etc. No performance or audio art.
SELECTION
Submissions will be juried by Millers & Rossi Gallery Curator for acceptance into this exhibition. Artists may be contacted by curator regarding future exhibition opportunities, whether accepted into this exhibition or not.
DEADLINE
The deadline to enter for consideration in this show is midnight (MST) on October 1, 2019. No late applications will be considered.
NOTIFICATION
Results of the judging will be emailed by October 8, 2019
EXHIBITION DATES
Accepted work will be exhibited at Millers & Rossi from October 25 - December 3, 2019.
Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered October 23-24 1pm-5pm unless prior arrangement has been made in advance, storage space is very limited.
FEES
$35 entry fee for up to 3 art pieces/images. Entry fees may be paid by credit card through callforentry.org only, fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee acceptance into the show.
ELIGIBILITY
The exhibition is open to all Colorado artists 18 years and older. All artwork must be original in concept and not copied from another artist’s work.
No installations or artwork that requires intensive assembly, special technical installation, or hangs from the ceiling will be accepted for this exhibition. Maximum size 5’ X 2’ for sculptures and 5’ X 3’ for 2D works; dimensions include framing and mounting.
Only entries submitted online through callforentry.org will be considered. Do not contact the gallery to submit images or information about your application or to inquire about the status of your application.
SPECIFICATIONS
All works accepted for the exhibition must be original, completed, and ready to hang. Substitutions of accepted works will not be allowed and all delivered work must match the image juried. No sawtooth hangers, wires must be in good shape and all presentation must look professional.
Accepted artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
Artwork must be for sale to be accepted into this exhibition.
SALES
Any artwork sold will incur a 30% commission. Prices quoted on the entry form may not be changed after acceptance. Buyer will be charged sales tax for Denver area and buyer will be charged any applicable shipping fees.
Purchased artwork must remain in the gallery until the exhibition closes, unless with prior permission and arrangement by Millers & Rossi.
Artists will be notified by email of any sales, and will receive payment for any sold works within one month of the close of the exhibition.
PICKUP
Unsold artwork must be picked up December 3, 2019 unless prior arrangements have been made. Millers & Rossi has limited storage space and any artworks left will incur a $10 per day storage fee for up to 7 days. Artworks left after 7 days become the property of Millers & Rossi and will be auctioned off for charity.
ENTRY PROCEDURE - ONLINE ONLY
All submissions will be through Callforentry.org (www.callforentry.org). Entries and credit card payment must be submitted on or before the posted deadline, with no entries accepted after this date.
Upload requirements for image files:
• File format: JPEG only
• File dimensions: No smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side
• File size: 5 MB maximum
• Image must be correctly oriented (vertical or horizontal)
• No digital enhancement is allowed
• Maximum of 3 photos per entry
• Artist statement is required with submission
