Salon at the Triton: A 2D Competition & Exhibition 
​(painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography)  
November 9, 2019 – January 26, 2020

Best of Show winner will receive a solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art!

Eligibility
This competition is open to all artists who are residents of California. Submissions must be original works of  art and have been completed within the last 5 years. All 2D media, including mixed media accepted.

Fees & Notications
Entry fee is $25.00/one entry, $10.00 for each additional entry. There is a 10 image maximum entry limit for submissions. Fees are non-refundable.

Submission of Images
Online submissions are required. Images must meet CaFE requirements (click here). All submitted images must be in jpg format. labeled with: artist_title.

Selection Process
George Rivera: artist, art instructor, former Executive Director & Chief Curator of the Triton Museum of Art and the San Jose Art League Art Center & Galleries. As a former Chief Curator of Art and independent Art Curator, Rivera has curated over 300 exhibitions which have been presented throughout the Greater Bay Area, nationally, and internationally. Since the mid 1970s Rivera has served as an art juror in all art media for over 400 competitions and exhibitions ranging from local to statewide to national and international. Rivera has also served as a juror, art panelist, art reviewer and Grants reviewer for numerous programs regionally, statewide and nationally, including artist-in-residency programs, art studio spaces, fellowship and laureate awards, and individual/organizational grants for local, county, state and federal programs.

In addition to place awards in each category selected by the guest juror, the Curatorial Team at the Triton Museum will select and award the Best of Show winner with a solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art the following year!

October 18, 2019: Notications sent
October 27, 2019: Deadline for delivery of selected work
November 9, 2019: Exhibition opens
November 17, 2019: Artists Reception, 2-4PM
January 26, 2020: Exhibition closes
January 27 -31, 2020: Pick-up artwork
