JUROR

Carol Tarzier.  Carol Tarzier’s art career ranges from sculpture in bronze and pastel drawings on black Arches to oil painting.   Her solo exhibitions in California and Nevada earned her numerous awards.   Her commissioned sculpture projects include the eight-foot bronze memorial to C.L. Dellums, the Oakland-based civil rights leader, unveiled in December 1999, the George Hasslein memorial sculpture at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and an abstract bronze, Obelisk 1, created for a private setting.  Carol Tarzier’s oil painting career dates back a decade, with pieces represented in national shows including the California Art Club’s Gold Medal Show and the OPA Western Regional Exhibition.  Carol divides her time between working in her spacious Oakland studio and teaching at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.   http://www.tarzier.com/
