Call to Artists:

Art & Technology, 4.0 A juried exhibition featuring artists that utilize technology in their practice.

The exhibition, Art & Technology, 4.0, will explore the intersection of arts and of technology and present work that takes advantage of the groundbreaking potential that this area of creative research provides.  The advent of the DIY and Make movements has forged a continually expanding relationship based on the philosophy of “open source” and has made accessible technologies such as 3D printing, wearable electronics, new media, and digital art, as well as a vibrant interest in the potential of installation and the creation of work that exists as experience and its relationship to the solitary object as a dominant means of expression. With this exhibit, Art & Technology, 4.0, the team wishes to create a fertile playground of imagination that will serves as an inspiration to our students and the community. 

Exhibition runs: March 5-26, 2020.

Eligibility:  Open to artists in the United States.

Media: All media will be considered for this exhibition, including 3D printing, wearable electronics, new media, digital art, and installation of all kinds.

Entry fee:  Up to 3 images may be submitted for $25.  Entries must be completed via the callforentry.org website.  Payments can be made at the time of entry through CAFÉ or with check or money order made payable to K12 Gallery & TEJAS. 

Jurors: Michael Casselli, Assistant Professor of Sculpture and Installation, Antioch College

Delivery and Return of Work:  All work accepted for the exhibition should arrive ready to install.  Work may be hand delivered or shipped.  Shipped works should be sent in a reusable package with return shipping prepaid.  Works must arrive at K12 & TEJAS by the specified dates.  Artists are responsible for all shipping costs.

Sale of Work:  All work, unless indicated as not for sale (NFS), will be available for sale during the exhibition.  K12 Gallery & TEJAS only retains a 20% commission on all artwork sold during the exhibition.

Liability:  Artist maintains responsibility of insuring the work during shipping, travel, and exhibition.  K12 Gallery & TEJAS will take great care in handling the artwork during the show but will not be liable if damage occurs.

Submission of images:  Digital images/files will need to be uploaded on the callforentry.org website.  Image files should be in HIGH QUALITY JPEG format.  Images should be oriented and cropped properly. The Gallery will retain the submitted images of accepted artwork and reserves the right to use the images in publications and gallery publicity.
