GO FIGURE! The SAA Collective gallery, a subsidiary of the Springfield Art Association in Springfield, Illinois; will host a juried exhibition that explores the use of the figure in visual art being produced today. From the classical approach of a nude painted in oil on canvas to every possible alternative, we hope to explore how the figure is being used in visual art media.
This exhibition is open to all artists, 18 years and older, working in all media. All submitted work must reference the human form. 
A $25 non-refundable entry fee is required per artist. Each artist may submit up to three works for consideration. One full image of each work is required. One detail shot per work may be submitted. A statement of up to 1000 words may be submitted with the work; but is not required. 
A minimum of $1000 in cash prizes will be awarded, possibly more based on the number of entries.  
Entries will only be accepted through CaFE. www.callforentry.org.
Works may be for sale, but it is not required. The SAA will reserve a 35% commission on all sales from this exhibit.
All artwork is insured while in the posession of the SAA. Artists are responsible for insurance on the in-bound and out-bound shipping. 
Artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the SAA. All accepted works must be received by the SAA from  February 24 to March 4, 2020. Hand delivered work must be delivered and collected during regular office hours: Monday through Friday 9 to 5, Saturday 10 to 3. Artists shipping their work must include prepaid labels for return shipping. All hanging work must be framed and/or equipped with hanging devices. All other work must be ready to install. The Springfield Art Association reserves the right to install accepted works in a manner deemed necessary for exhibition or security reasons. 
The SAA reserves the rgiht to photograph all exhibited works for promotional and educational purposes. 
A reception will be held at the SAA Collective Gallery in the Hoogland Center for the Arts at 420 South 6th Street, on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm. Prizes will be awarded at 6:15 pm.
The exhibition will close on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
