A New Year and A New Vision

Description:  Stern Contemporary invites you to enter A New Year, A New Vision a national competition established to explore the creative process, goals, priorities, and new paradigms or possibly artists taking a chance with new imagery or a new way of working. The exhibit will take place on historic Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM.  All styles, and interpretations are welcome and encouraged.

SHIPPED ARTWORK
MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN January 7, 2020
MAIL ACCEPTED ARTWORK TO:  The artist is responsible for return shipment and the work must arrive in a reusable shipping container with return shipping provided.  Please do not use packing peanuts.  Works shipped with packing peanuts will not be unpacked and the work will be returned.
Hand delivered work shall be delivered to the gallery, January 4-6 noon - 5:00pm.

EXHIBITION DATES:
Opening Reception is January 10, 2020 Exhibition dates: January 17-January 31 2020.  All art must be priced to sell.  Gallery receives 50% Commission.

ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS:
The competition is open to all 2D and 3D artists, working in all forms of painting, drawing, and sculpture.  Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. For this show wall mounted works must not be taller than 30" no wider than 30".  Sculpture must not be taller than 3’.

EXHIBITION: 
Selected artists will be featured in a group exhibition at Stern contemporary in Santa Fe NM.  There will be an opening reception At Stern Contemporary on Historic Canyon Road in the heart of the arts district in Santa Fe.

EXHIBITION TERMS:
All works in the show must be for sale. The gallery will take a 50 percent commission on all sales. The artist determines Sale price.  No substitution of accepted works will be allowed.  Any work that arrives that is not the work juried in will be returned. All art must be priced to sell.  That gallery receives 50% of sale price.

ENTRY FEES: 
There is a $35.00 entry fee for one to three artworks entered; presentation is by digital JPG image files. 
Details of artwork count as an additional artwork. Artists accepted to exhibit will not be charged additional fees of any kind.

IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS: 
Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only and will be deleted after completion of the selection process. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Stern Contemporary Gallery rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes only. Stern Contemporary will retain no copyrights to artists work. 

NOTIFICATION: 
Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance by mid December 2019. Notification will be made via email. All artists who provide a working email address will be notified via email, if no email is provided, artists will be notified via postal mail only if accepted to exhibit. Type your email address clearly, if a mistake is made you will not be notified. 

PRIVACY POLICY: 
Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.) is only held for the purpose of contacting selected artists and is not preserved in any database. Entry data and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process. 

DEADLINE: 
The entry deadline is December 19, 2019. Entries must be submitted via Café (https://www.callforentry.org/) by this date.
