THEME
In honor of I See France a new book written by Meg McNamara, aka CeCe DeLuc the Cultural Center of Cape Cod invites artists worldwide to submit work that depicts memories of France. From Paris to Normandy to Mont Saint-Michel, France has a story to tell. What is France through your perspective. This exhibit will be hung in the Board Room of the Main Building.  All media will be considered except film.

 

CALENDAR
Show runs from January 29- February 23, 2020
JEPGs due by Friday, January 10, 2020
Notification of acceptance by Friday, January 17, 2020
Drop-off work on Monday, January 27 between 9am-5pm
Work being shipped must arrive by Monday, January 27 and no sooner than Monday, January 20, 2020     
Reception on Friday, January 31 from 5-7pm                                                       
Pick up unsold work on Monday, February 24, 2020 between 9am-5pm                        Work being shipped back will during the week of February 24-28, 2020

ENTRY FEE
$20 for first entry/$5 for each additional entry, you may enter up to 20 total. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance.

ELIGIBILITY
This call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional.

RULES
Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. Please submit only work that will be available at the time of the exhibit and will remain for its entirety. If the work does not fully reflect what is represented on the jpeg the Cultural Center reserves the right to eliminate it from the exhibition.

FRAMING
Framed work must be fitted firmly in frame with wire for hanging. No loose glass over mats. Gallery wrapped canvases are permitted. Poorly presented work will not be hung. Work may not exceed 320 square inches.

ARTWORK DELIVERY
Shipping, return shipping and a handling fees are the responsibility of the artist. Delivery instructions will accompany email notification of acceptance. Purchase of return shipping labels is the responsibility of the artist. All artwork must arrive by the scheduled receiving date.

JUROR
Director’s choice. Please note, there is no personal feedback given by jurors.

AWARD
$100 for Best in Show

NOTIFICATION
Notification will be done by email. If for any reason you do not receive your notification by the notification date, please check the filters in your email account.

ENTRY BY WEBSITE UPLOAD ONLY 
Entry is done through Café, a web-based service that allows artists to upload images and organize their artwork for submissions to galleries. To apply for a call, you must leave our website and go to the Café website at www.callforentry.org  where you can create a FREE artist account. You will add your details and upload your images to Café and then you can submit work to I See France.

FORMATTING
All images must be in JPEG format using Café guidelines. The image size must be no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Maximum file size is 5 mb.  

SALES
All works should be for sale. Members of the Cultural Center are charged a 30% commission on all sales, non-members a 40% commission.
