Love is in the air! Vanessa Lacy Gallery is seeking artists whose work celebrates love of all kind and especially romantic love. Join us for an evening of art and romance during our February 2020 art opening reception. We will have a feast for your eyes, sweets for your sweet, live music by harpist Celia Albon, and drinks from our neighbors at Stockyards Brewing Co. The February 21st reception opens to the public at 5, music starts at 6, and we will celebrate until 9 when the gallery closes and we will head next door to Stockyards Brewing Co, for the afterparty nightcaps. The exhibition runs until March 13th, 2020.
Artists whose work is accepted must drop off art in person or have it delivered before February 15th, 2020. Unsold art must be picked up on Saturday, March 14th between 11-3 or Tuesday March 17th 1-5. Artists who choose to ship their work must provide a return shipping label in the box so we can quickly and efficiently return the artwork. Do not put stamps in the box for return of work. You need to provide a return shipping label that will provide postage, a tracking number, and you need to insure your artwork and have shipping insurance. Gallery is not responsible for theft or damage that occurs during shipping or during the course of the exhibition. Artists should provide shipping instructions for the gallery so we can repackage your artwork in the same way it was recieved.
Gallery takes a 40% commission from the retail price that artists provide on CAFE. Checks to artists are mailed out or can be picked up from the gallery within 30 days of the ending of the exhibition.
Artists are encouraged to come to the opening reception if at all possible, but we understand not all artists will be able to make a long journey if they reside out of state. The gallery does its best to promote all artists in the show by sharing images of their work on our website, social media, and newsletters. It makes it easier for us to tag artists if artists will "Follow" and "Like" the gallery on Instagram and Facebook. We have Facebook events for artists to share for the reception and will provide artists with links to the website to share with their follwers and to use to invite their friends and collectors to the reception. The more the merrier!
