Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality and environmental value. Upcycling encourages creativity and innovation as well as the wise use of resources. 

R Gallery invites Colorado artists to submit their original artwork that embodies the principles of upcycling for the “Upcycled: Creative Reuse“ exhibit at R Gallery. As the focus of this exhibit is on creative reuse, artwork should incorporate materials or elements that have had a previous life or purpose. We are looking for primarily wall art that can hang as we have limited space for free-standing works. 

R Gallery's goal is to create exhibits that showcase the many different styles of Colorado's talented artists. You are welcome to submit multiple images, however we normally select only one piece from each selected artist. If submitting fewer than three artworks, you will need to fill in the remaining required entries with duplicate images (i.e. submit your first entry twice).

The show runs from March 17 to April 26, 2020 and is open to all mediums.

R Gallery is the newest fine art gallery in downtown Boulder, Colorado. We focus on Colorado artists working in all styles in all mediums. Join us for our next exhibition.

Event Dates:  March 17 to April 26, 2020

Eligibility: Colorado Residents. All entries must be of original design and personal execution.

Size: It is best to submit pieces less than 30" wide, including frame or case. We only have a few spots for pieces up to 48" wide.

Shipping: Accepted works must arrive no later than Sunday, March 15, 2020. Work will be returned by May 15th unless otherwise agreed upon. A prepaid return label must be provided if sending the work by carrier.

Sales: All sales will be handled through R Gallery. A 50% commission will be charged. All pieces must remain up for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale. R Gallery reserves the right to sell accepted works online during the exhibition. R Gallery will send checks to the artist for the sale of their work by the 15th of the month following the month in which the sale occurs.
