Yadkin Arts Council 2020 Juried Exhibition
with Juror, Lindsay Piper Potter-Figueiredo, Curator and Artist
The Yadkin Arts Council, located in the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center at 226 East Main Street in Yadkinville, NC is pleased to announce our 2020 Juried Art Exhibition. This exhibition is a celebration of some of the finest creativity in North Carolina.
Eligibility for entry is open to 2D and 3D Fine Art artists that are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina.
First Place: $1250
Second Place: $850
3rd Place: $500
People’s Choice 2D: $200
People’s Choice 3D: $200
Honorable mentions: $100 each
Artist may submit a maximum of two original works of art. Submitted art must not have been shown previously at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. Categories excluded from entry are photography, commercial prints, and giclee. *Multi-media and post process manipulated photography will be accepted (this will be subject to approval by our committee – please feel free to contact us prior to entry to confirm you will be allowed to enter). Entries must be for sale. 2D and 3D works that hang on the wall may not exceed 40” in either direction, including frame and must be properly wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted. Any 3D pieces that require a pedestal must be able to be placed on a base that is no bigger than 24”x15”, and any freestanding piece must follow the same guidelines as the wall hanging pieces with the exception of the height. Any accepted piece that is received and does not follow these specifications will be declined with no exceptions. Lastly, all work must remain hanging until end of show. No early withdrawals.
All entry fees are non-refundable. $40 – Entry fee covers the option to submit up to two pieces of art per artist
The Yadkin Arts Council will retain 25% commission of all sales during this exhibition. Payment from sales will be made to the artist within 30 days after the close of the exhibit.

June 22, 2020: Acceptance/rejection entry announcement via email by end of day
June 27: (Saturday - by appointment only) & June 29 – July 2, 2020 (Mon-Thurs - 9:30a – 4:30p). Accepted entry delivery
July 9, 2020: (5-7pm). Opening reception (tentative)
*Prizes will be awarded on July 9, 2020. At that time the opening reception is tentatively scheduled for the evening of July 9 and will take place outside on our plaza, with small groups being given access to the gallery to view the exhibit at a safe social distance. (This is all dependent upon what our Phase Three restrictions will entail). If we are unable to have a reception on July 9, then we will plan to do a closing reception in August.

Submission of Entries
1. Complete the official entry form and follow guidelines for payment located on CAFÉ (Registration and submissions are process through the “Call for Entry” website)
2. Submit one JPEG image for each entry.
3. Include a short artist biography.
4. Complete entry must be received by midnight on Friday, June 19, 2020
5. All entries will be notified by email regardless of whether or not the entry was accepted.
6. Accepted works may be hand-delivered or shipped by the artist.
7. Remember to include a prepaid return shipping label if you are shipping your art work.
8. Each accepted piece of artwork must be labeled with Artist Name, Address, Phone, Email, Title, Medium, and Retail Price (Retail Price should include 25% Yadkin Arts Council commission).
9. All pieces must be for sale – no inflated pricing please.
The Yadkin Arts Council reserves the right to refuse any work that does not comply with all specifications or differs greatly from submitted digital images. Your electronically submitted entry form signifies your agreement with the terms and conditions stated herein, including permission to the Yadkin Arts Council to use accepted entries for advertising purposes.
Return of Art
All unsold art must be picked up no later than 4:30, Thursday, July 2, 2020. We are very limited on space so any art not picked up by the deadline will remain the property of the Yadkin Arts Council. Art work that is shipped must include a pre-paid return shipping label. Artist will be notified by email when return shipping has been picked up by the shipping company.
The Yadkin Arts Council insures all work while on its premises. Artists must provide their own incoming/outgoing shipping insurance. YAC is not responsible for damage due to improper packing or use of faulty construction
