2020 Pride Exhibition at Gallery 110

CALL FOR ENTRIES: Gallery 110 proudly announces its first ever Pride exhibition to take place this June in our West Gallery. As part of our recently launched ‘Art for Good’ program, we have partnered with local non-profit Gay City to donate Gallery 110’s profit from works sold during the exhibition. We also hope to raise awareness for the incredible work they do by providing important healthcare resources and more to Seattle’s LGBTQ+ community. Our gallery location and reputation offers artists the opportunity to be a part of Seattle's Pioneer Square gallery district and to have the patrons of First Thursday Art Walk view their work.

Work need not necessarily be queer themed to apply, but artists selected should be prepared to provide a short description of each work that connects either the subject matter, or their experience as a queer artist. For example, an abstract artist may be asked to include a sentence or two in an in-gallery catalog relating their experience as a queer artist.

The exhibition will run from June 4 - 27, 2020.

ELIGIBILTY: This international juried show is open to artists 18 years of age and older. Artwork may be in any two or three-dimensional media and must be original works of art.

FEES: The fee is $10 for two entries, and $5 for each additional piece. Payment must be in US dollars.

CONDITIONS AND RULES: Entries accepted for exhibition must have a professional appearance. Two-dimensional artwork must be mounted with hanging wire or other hanging apparatus and immediately ready for the wall. The gallery reserves the right not to hang accepted works if they are not presented in the format specified. For artwork weighing more than 35 pounds, please contact the Director (director@gallery110.com) to ensure your work meets gallery presentation requirements. Artists may not substitute another work for the accepted work. Entries must be for sale and priced with the intent to sell. A gallery commission of 50% will be deducted from sales to be donated to Gay City. Artists grant permission to Gallery 110 to reproduce accepted artwork for promotional uses in both printed and electronic forms.

Artists are encouraged to submit two works, however if you wish to submit fewer than two pieces you may do so by downloading a blank slide here, and submitting it as part of your application.

NOTIFICATIONS: Finalists will be notified by email and will need to return signed, dated, and scanned consignment agreements by email within 7 days. Artists whose work has been selected will be responsible for the framing and delivery of work to Gallery 110 by May 30, 2020. Shipping, delivery, and return instructions will be provided with the acceptance notification. Delivery and return shipping charges are the artist’s responsibility and prepaid return shipping labels must accompany works.
