Sohn Fine Art continues its decade-long commitment to supporting artists’ careers and creative projects. We believe in the power art can have on personal expression and positive change, and in its ability to bring joy and inspiration to people and communities. In these uncertain times, art is more important than ever. This is why we are presenting a call for art, an opportunity for you to share your voice with the public and have your work presented at Sohn Fine Art.
This open call for photography will result in an exhibition of chosen work at Sohn Fine Art. The gallery is located in the heart of the Berkshires in Lenox, MA. Any genre of photography can be submitted and all photographic mediums are eligible for submission. This exhibition will be curated and judged by Sohn Fine Art’s Director, Cassandra Sohn.
The submission deadline is July 13, 2020. The exhibition will be on view November 20, 2020 – January 25, 2021, with an artist reception Saturday, December 5, where show winners will be announced. The People's Choice Award Winner will be announced at the end of the exhibition, January 25th. Please note that due to current circumstances, exhibition dates are subject to change.
Approximately 20 photographs will be accepted into the exhibition. All work will be judged anonymously. The 1st Place Winner will receive a $500 fine art printing credit to use toward printing their own work through the gallery’s fine art printing division. The 1st place winner will also receive an in-person (or live video chat) portfolio review with the gallery’s owner and Director, Cassandra Sohn.
The People’s Choice Award Winner will receive one archival pigment print of their own work (up to 30” x 45”, valued at $250), produced by Sohn Fine Art, on a substrate of their choice.
Submission deadline: July 13 ($35 first 6 images, $5 each additional image up to 20 images)

Reception: Saturday, December 5, 3:00 – 6:00 (where the winners will be announced)

1st Place Winner
$500 archival pigment printing credit at Sohn Fine Art to use toward printing their own work through the gallery’s fine art printing division. Plus, a one-on-one portfolio review with the gallery’s Director, Cassandra Sohn.
2nd & 3rd Place Winner
People’s Choice Award
One archival pigment print of their own work, produced by Sohn Fine Art, on a stocked substrate of their choice at any size up to 30" x 45", a $250 value.
About the Juror
Cassandra Sohn owns, and is the Director of, Sohn Fine Art in Lenox, MA. Sohn founded the business in 2011 and runs all departments of the company. She is the founder of the Master Artist Series program, which offers unique experiences with artists in the top of their fields to patrons and collectors of photography, as well as professional and aspiring photographers and artists through exhibitions, lectures and workshops. Sohn is also a fine art and freelance photographer who exhibits world-wide and has worked for a variety of editorial and commercial clients. She has been published in several books, and was the main contributing photographer for Window on the Park—New York's Most Prestigious Properties On Central Park, published by Images Publishing. She graduated from the New School in Manhattan with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Photography.

All submissions are reviewed anonymously
· All entries must be received no later than July 13, 2020. You will be notified by August 15, 2020.
· If you are accepted into the show, please confirm your acceptance by August 22, 2020.
· All work submitted must be limited editions or one-of-a-kinds. All artwork in the exhibition must be for sale. Accepted work must be ready to hang, of exhibition quality using only archival materials. Photographs must be framed (or equivalent if plexi-mounting or using an alternative process). All artwork must be dropped off or delivered to the gallery no later than November 9, 2020. You are responsible for pick-up or shipping any unsold work at the end of the exhibition. The Gallery is located at 69 Church Street, Lenox, MA. If you are shipping work you are responsible for any shipping and packing costs to and from the gallery. Sohn Fine Art takes 50% commission on any sales.You retain all rights to your images, but upon submitting, you grant Sohn Fine Art the right to use your submitted images for marketing purposes related to the call for art and exhibition. This may include email newsletters and social media posts related to the events. We will credit your images wherever possible.
All submissions must be made directly through CaFÉ (callforentry.org).
