22nd Annual Art Faire Juried Show

Clayton Visual Arts, Inc. announces a call to artists for the 22nd Annual Art Faire. This is CVA’s fourth Juried Art Faire, awarding $2,100 in cash prizes.

Clayton Visual Arts' 22nd Annual Art Faire competition is still happening! But for the safety of all, this will be a completely virtual art exhibit. CVA looks forward to awarding talented artists with cash prizes totaling $2,100. All 2D artwork is welcome, including fiber art and photography. Artists may enter up to three pieces of art (3 images) through CallForEntry.org (CaFE). The fee is $35, but CVA would like to extend the $10 discount for members to all entrants. ENTRY INFORMATION

The entry fee is $35 for up to 3 separate pieces of 2-D art (digital image entries).

All artists may use the “members only” promotion code (CLAF20) to receive a $10 discount off this year’s entry fee, regardless of membership status. Join CVA

Per usual, about 50 works of art will be selected by the Art Faire judge/juror. She will then make her prize-winning selection from the juried images.

Entries must be registered on-line by 11:59 pm Friday, August 21st, 2020

NOTE: Please read the prospectus in its entirety as there is important information throughout. Answers to most of your questions can be found within.

BEFORE STARTING YOUR ENTRY: The images you want to use must already exist in “My Portfolio,” where your images reside on CaFE. If you are submitting an image that you already have in your portfolio, you must duplicate it and rename it according to our protocol, as noted below.

To allow a blind judging of artworks, and for the call administrators to accurately keep track of entries, images must be named in the following manner:

EACH TITLE MUST INCLUDE THE ARTIST’S INITIALS AND BE NUMBERED AS IN THE FOLLOWING EXAMPLE:

If the artist’s name is Mary F. Smith, each title would be named as follows:

MFS01-First Artwork Name (the actual title of the piece)

MFS02-Second Artwork Name (the actual title of the piece)

MFS03-Third Artwork Name (the actual title of the piece)

ELIGIBILITY

2D works of art-- graphics, printmaking, mixed media, collage, fiber art, including works on canvas and photography--are eligible for entry in the exhibition.

Artists must be 18 years of age or older.

Works must be entirely the work of a single artist and executed within the last two years.

All entries must be for sale.

Artists should be aware that artwork must be family-friendly and appropriate for the general public.

Works must not have been exhibited in previous Art Faire shows.

Original art is defined as one-of-a-kind art, created by the artist’s hand, and not to include copied subjects from other artists’ work.

Submission of 1-3 pieces of art is permitted.

Artists do not have to be residents of Clayton.

 

SPECIFICATIONS

Dimensions of artwork (including frame) cannot exceed 48 inches on any side.

Clayton Visual Arts, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any work whose content, in its judgment, does not meet generally accepted community standards of good taste.
