Glass Exhibition

GALLERY:  The Downtown Gallery is located in downtown Kokomo. The gallery displays artwork by students, faculty, alumni and local, regional and national artists throughout the year. We CANNOT accept payment through CAFÉ. There will be a $25 per artist entry fee that will be invoiced once entry is received (This must be paid regardless of acceptance into the exhibit).

ELIGIBILITY:  This juried exhibition is open to all artists over the age of 18, who reside in the United States.  Any form of glass making is accepted. Mixed-media works must be made up of no less than 60% glass. All work must be original and completed in the last two years. All work must be accurately represented in jpeg images.  Work not meeting these criteria will not be exhibited.

PRESENTATION:  Professional presentation of each piece is required. 2D artwork must be framed and have a secure way to hang the piece if it requires hanging. Sculptures should be fully assembled, and structurally sound and include detailed installation instructions, if necessary. 

ENTRY:  All entries must be made through the CaFE website.  All entries will be chosen from high-resolution (300dpi) jpeg images.  Files not to exceed 5MB. For 3D works only, a second detail photo may be uploaded.  The gallery reserves the right to reproduce images accepted into the show for promoting and archiving the exhibition. SALES: Sales are encouraged and we will receive a 30% commission for any sold artwork. The sale of artwork will be between the artist and the purchaser. There is a portion of our contract that you will have to fill out in regards to sale of your artwork. Once the artist receives payment, they will notify the gallery and we will invoice the artist for the commission.

DELIVERY & PICK-UP:  Delivery and pick-up of artwork will be the responsibility of the artist.  The artist may choose to either personally drop-off and pick-up the work during gallery hours or ship their work to the gallery.  It is the artist’s responsibility to send any shipped artwork in a sturdy, reusable box with a PREPAID return shipping label inside.  Any work not picked up 30 days after the end of the show will become the property of the Indiana University Kokomo Downtown Gallery.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

·         Notifications to artist on or before: 1/8/2021

·         Delivery of Artwork: 1/28/2021-1/30/2021, (during gallery hours)

·         Exhibition Dates: 2/17/2021-3/5/2021

·         Opening Reception: TBD

·         Pick-up Artwork: 3/11/2021-3/13/2021 (during gallery hours)
