The Valdosta National 2021 presents the best in contemporary art nationally in an all-media competition. Hosted by the Valdosta State University (VSU) Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery in Valdosta, Georgia, 2021 will be the 33rd year of the annual fine arts juried exhibition.

Due to the ongoing global health crisis, the Gallery is offering all Spring 2021 shows as virtual online exhibitions at www.vsugallery.org. Each artwork will be presented with artist, title, size, media, date, and price (if for sale.) Additionally, we will post the artist’s contact information, artist statement, and website to facilitate direct sales and inquiries for the artists. We are particularly interested in art that lends itself to being exhibited digitally, including video.

Artists may also be considered for inclusion in future Gallery exhibitions.

Deadline: November 16, 2020

Awards: $1,500.00

Virtual Exhibition: Opens January 19, 2021

The fee to enter is $20.00 for one, two or three artworks. This is reduced from our normal fee of $35, however the $1500 in awards is the same as other years.

Images: Because CallForEntry.org separates artists’ images as they are submitted, only one image may be submitted for each piece entered. To show multiple views of a single 3-D piece, please join photos into a single image before submission using Photoshop or other tools such as www.photojoiner.net. Do not include the artist’s name or additional information on the image.

Eligibility and Guidelines: Open to all artists over 18 living in the United States.  All artwork must have been completed in the last 5 years (no earlier than 2015,) original, and not previously shown in the VSU Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery. Valdosta State University faculty and staff are ineligible to apply to the Valdosta National 2021.

No gallery sales commission. Potential collectors may contact the artists directly with email provided on the website of the virtual exhibition.

Please note that the Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery reserves the right to use & publish accepted work for promotional purposes. Submission of your entry indicates your acceptance of the rules of this show.
