Entry: $31 for 1 image, $2 per each additional image
Landscape painting, also known as landscape art, is the portrayal of landscapes in art. Natural scenery such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests, especially where the main subject is a wide view - with its elements arranged into a coherent composition. In other works, landscape backgrounds for figures can still form an important part of the work. Sky is almost always included in the view, and weather is often an element of the composition. Works submitted to this exhibition can also include seascapes. Works can be landscape or portrait in orientation.
This Call for Art is open to ALL local, national and international artists, professional and amateur. All fine arts media are acceptable: watercolor, drawing, pastel, painting, sculpture, mixed media, installation art, photography, fiber art, digital art, etchings, monotype, monoprint, silk screen, lithography, collagraph, fiber art, etc. No crafts, please.
Note: Our gallery is open to the public now are clients and guests are invited to visit as long as they have proper PPE. All artists who submit to this show will be accepted and have at least one of their submitted works posted on our website.
ENTRY FEES (Application Fees): First image for $31; each additional image is $2. A maximum of twenty images may be submitted for consideration.(non-refundable)
1. If accepted to the brick and mortar exhibition, Las Laguna Art Gallery will exhibit the artwork/s in an exhibition at LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY, located in Laguna Beach, California.
a) If accepted to our Online exhibition, at least one image will be selected and displayed on our website and on Facebook.
b) Jury approved artwork will be offered an opportunity to take advantage of our promotional marketing. You will receive an email if your artwork is chosen to take part in this program at which point you can either opt-in or decline it.
2. The artwork(s) exhibited and/or represented by LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY, pursuant to this Agreement, are hereinafter collectively referred to as the “ARTWORK” and refers to those artworks submitted by ARTIST to LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY and accepted by LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY for exhibition.
3. In exchange for LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY’S exhibition of ARTIST’S Work, ARTIST grants LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY the right to represent ARTIST in the sale of the “ARTWORK” by LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY.
4. COMMISSION: The following commission/payment terms will apply to each subject “ARTWORK” sold by LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY: 65% (payment to ARTIST), 35% (commission to LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY).
5. LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY reserves the right to determine the terms of payment (cash, bank card, deferred or installment) on sale of Art. For cash or bank card sale, the Gallery shall pay the Artist all proceeds due the Artist within thirty-one (31) days of sale.
6. ARTISTS outside the United States are responsible for any exchange rate charges or bank transfer charges. Please price works accordingly.
7. ARTIST retains ownership of all “ARTWORK” represented by LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY until such “ARTWORK” is sold, pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, or otherwise. ARTIST retains copyright to all consigned artwork in perpetuity, as governed by law. LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY shall take steps necessary to insure that the Artist's notice of copyright is protected and included in all documentation.
8. Retail sales price for each “ARTWORK” will be established by the ARTIST. ARTIST is to include gallery commission in the price listed. Please do not change prices without speaking to Lori directly. Consider your price carefully as it is difficult for us to change it – choose your price thoughtfully.
9. LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY will exert all reasonable efforts to close sales of represented “ARTWORK”. ARTIST agrees to provide LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY, in a timely fashion and upon request, with any necessary documents or information in support of sales.
10. PROMOTION: All entrants grant Las Laguna Art Gallery the right to use or publish images of their work to promote the art exhibits, future call for entries, videos, or the art gallery. Selected entries may be included in our online gallery, on our Facebook page, Instagram, Google+ page, FLKR, blog or other social media sites for the purpose of promoting artist and shows. Artist understands that his/her artwork may be photographed for promotional or other purposes.
11. MODIFICATIONS: All modifications of this Agreement must be in writing and signed by BOTH parties. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between LAS LAGUNA ART GALLERY and ARTIST.
12. Las Laguna Art Gallery is not responsible for any damage, breakage, need for replacement or cost associated with any event that may have occurred during transport or unpacking. Every precaution will be taken in handling the entries, but Las Laguna Art Gallery assumes no liability for any loss or damage to any artist’s work while in our care, custody or control, before, during or after the exhibition. Each artist, if they wish, needs to provide their own insurance. PLEASE PACK TO ASSURE YOUR PIECE IS PROTECTED - LLG IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGE THAT OCCURS DURING SHIPPING TO GALLERY OR RETURN BACK TO ARTIST!!!
13. SHIPPING YOUR WORK: If you are selected for our in gallery exhibition, please ship work in sturdy, reusable cardboard box via UPS or FedEx. You MUST include a RETURN SHIPPING LABEL. If you are filling out the label, make sure you have your account number on the label. LLG CANNOT accept checks, cash or PayPal to initiate return shipping! THE ARTIST MUST SEND A COMPLETED RETURN LABEL. Work will be returned during the two weeks following the close of the exhibition. Please NO WOODEN CRATE OR BOXES WITH SCREWS. Do not overwrap. Wrap securely and safely, but consider the time and effort the gallery staff must incur to unwrap and rewrap when returning to you. NO PACKING PEANUTS!
14. If you are selected for the online exhibition please do not send the artwork to the gallery. When a client contacts us to purchase your art we will obtain their information and assist you in making the sale. If this is the case the client will be required to send you 100% of the listed price for the artwork and 100% of the shipping amount for the work. Once the transaction is complete we will get the gallery commission.
15. Any work left at Las Laguna Art Gallery 7 days after the close of the exhibition will be subject to a $5.00 per day storage fee. Any work left at Las Laguna Art Gallery for more than 14 days is subject to sale or disposal without notification or recourse. Please be aware of when the show finishes and make sure we have your return label.
