The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board proudly presents the 55th Annual Eye of the Camera Thematic Photography Competition and Exhibition

2021 Theme:
For this year’s Eye of the Camera photographic competition, we are seeking photographic work (excluding video) which explores this year’s theme of “Myths & Legends.” Surprise us with your interpretation - and be sure to include a short statement on how your work relates to the theme! (use the description field for each piece entered or your artist statement field to describe how your work relates to the theme)

Submission Rules and Requirements: (please read thoroughly!)
- All entries must be submitted through CaFÉ (callforentry.org)
- Deadline for submission is Thursday, January 21, 2021, midnight mountain time.
- All entries must be photographs
- All work must have been produced in the last 3 years and not shown in a Denver area juried photo show in last two years.
- This competition is open to Colorado residents only.
- Entry fee is $30 (non-refundable)
- Entrants may submit up to a total of 3 photographs for consideration.
- Framed size of photograph must not exceed 60 inches in length on any one side.
- All accepted entries must be available for sale.
- The Fine Arts Board will charge a 25% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the exhibit. Entrants must include the commission when pricing their work.
- Work not accurately represented after digital files are reviewed against actual framed pieces may be subject to withdrawal at the juror’s discretion.
- Once the juror has made final selections notifications will be sent by USPS mail on around Friday, January 29, 2021.
- If accepted, your artwork will need to be delivered in person on Thursday, March 4, 2021 between 3pm and 7pm to the Littleton Museum. No exceptions. Artwork may not be shipped to the Littleton Museum.
- Accepted photographs will be on display in the Littleton Museum’s Fine Arts Gallery March 19 through April 24, 2021.
- Photographs may not be removed from the exhibit until the close of the show.
- Best of Show, First Place, and Second Place Winners will be notified by phone or email.
- The Fine Arts Board reserves the right to refuse any photographs deemed inappropriate for the Littleton Museum setting.
- All accepted entries must be properly framed and ready to hang with appropriate hanging materials. (no saw tooth hangers)
- All accepted entries must be identified with photographer’s name, title, price, and contact information.
- Entrants agree that artwork submitted to the City of Littleton’s Fine Arts Board Eye of the Camera competition may be used and reused by the Board with its consent for purposes of illustration, promotion, display or publication, and for any other lawful purpose.
- Please use your processing technique to describe your medium rather than just ‘photography’.
- Please make your contact information is current in CaFÉ, include phone, email, and physical mailing address.
- Be sure to include a short statement on how your work relates to the theme of “Myths and Legends” in the description field for each piece being submitted or in your artist statement.

Notifications of juror’s decisions will be sent by USPS mail (not email) on or around Friday, January 29, 2021.
If accepted, your artwork must be delivered in person on Thursday, March 4, 2021 between 3pm and 7pm to the Littleton Museum. No exceptions. Artwork may not be shipped to Littleton Museum.
Exhibition Dates: March 19 – April 24, 2021.
Pick up of Artwork: Monday, April 26, 2021 from 9am to 3pm.

Littleton Museum is closed to the public on Sundays, Mondays, and major holidays
Please note: Artwork not picked up at the specified time will be forfeited and become the property of the City of Littleton and may be sold at auction.
