ATTENTION PHOTOGRAPHERS! Due to the large number of photographic entries we have been receiving, we are no longer accepting photography for our National show. Instead we are announcing a show strictly for photography. The 2021 NORTHERN COLORADO REGIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW is now accepting entries on callforentries.org and will run from April 8 – 24. Here is the direct link to the Photography Show. https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=8244
The Lincoln Gallery and the Thompson Valley Art League invite you to enter the 2021 NATIONAL FINE ART SHOW. Open to all U.S. artists working in the 6 categories listed below. Work must be original art, not copied from published photos or works by other artists. All entries must be for sale. No installations or sets of works to make one entry will be accepted. Cash awards of $2,000 will be presented for Best of Show plus 1st and 2nd Place in each category. (Note: The elimination of the Photography Category allows for the acceptance of approx. 25 more works from the remaining categories)
The exhibition will run from May 8-28, with the Artists’ Reception and Awards Presentation on Saturday, May 8. (Note: Due to Covid restrictions, limitations may be in place regarding in-person attendance)
We are honored to have Mike Beeman, from Cheyenne, WY as our Juror for this show. Mike works in pastel and oil, in studio and on location, and paints a variety of subjects, including landscapes, still lifes and figures. He is a signature member of the American Impressionist Society, Pastel Society of America and a Master Circle artist in the International Association of Pastel Societies. His work has appeared in numerous juried exhibitions and competitions and has received many honors, including the Pastel Journal Silver Award in the 14th Annual Pastel 100 in 2013.
Mike will also be offering a two day workshop on May 6th & 7th from 9:00 to 4:00 and a Demo on May 8th. The Workshop fee is $275 for members and $300 for Non TVAL members. Because of Covid concerns the class will be limited to 8 participants. Students will be required to wear a mask and keep social distance.
