Multiple scholarships of $1,500 will be awarded to Palm Beach County high school seniors planning to major in the visual arts in college AND to current Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Sophomores or Juniors majoring in the visual arts taking at least 12 hours each semester.

These awards are given based upon merit. While GPA and other factors are considered, the artwork you create is given the most weight in judging.

Each applicant must provide the following information in order to be considered for a scholarship:
- Completed on line application via CaFe
- Upload a maximum of 6 images of your 2D or 3D work. If photographing multiple images of the same piece of artwork EACH IMAGE YOU SUBMIT COUNTS AS ONE OF THE SIX IMAGES. Each image file must comply with the following requirements set forth by CaFe:
- File Format: JPEG only
- File dimensions: No smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side
- File resolution: 72 ppi/dpi (standard web resolution)
- File size: 5 MB maximum
Each file must be labled with your last name, title of the piece, and size. For example
Smith_BowlofFruit_20x24
- Uploaded unoffical transcripts (docx, pdf, word)
- Uploaded Letter of Recomendation (docx, pdf, word) The person providing this letter will be given a link to easily upload their letter.

Legal Agreement

In applying to this scholarship opportunity the applicant agrees to the following: An application will be deemed ineligible if all required materials are not submitted by the due date of March 19, 2021 by 11:59 pm. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the person providing the Letter of Recommendation has done this. The applicant categories of HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR and FAU SOPHOMORE/JUNIOR will be judged separately. The distribution of scholarship awards for each category is up to the judges and those decisions are final. PLEASE NOTE: The award(s) given to High School Seniors is a one time award. The FAU SOPHOMORE/JUNIOR award(s) allows the winner to re-apply for additional years if they meet the following criteria: - Attend at least 2 Wellington Art Society monthly meetings - Volunteer 15 hours of service to the Wellington Art Society All award winners receive a free one year membership to the Wellington Art Society and are able to have all rights and privileges extended by this membership. Scholarship award winners are provisional based upon the verification of student transcripts and eligibility requirements. Award may be rescinded if there are any discrepancies. Conditions of award - Winner must presently be a Palm Beach County high school Senior entering college in 2021 OR an FAU student that will be a Sophomore or Junior in Fall 2021 taking a minimum of 12 credit hours. - Award is merit based - Winner must be pursuing a college major in visual art or art related major - If selected as a winner of the scholarship, the check for the award amount is written directly to the college to be applied to tuition, books, or supplies. - If winner is a minor, parent or legal guardian must sign for the award along with the winner - Award is subject to review of winner’s official high school or college transcript - Award may be rescinded by Wellington Art Society if student changes their major, is arrested and/or convicted of a crime, or displays conduct not befitting an award winner.
