The Spanish Peaks Arts Council (SPACe) in La Veta, Colorado
Spanish Peaks Arts Council (SPACe) is a non-profit community based organization dedicated to support and enrichment of the arts and art education in the Spanish Peaks region of southern Colorado. Founded in 1975, originally as the Friends of the Arts Guild, SPACe has been an active presence in the community, supported by volunteers, staff, and membership for 45 years.
Photography must be the original concept and creation of the artist. Works created either on film or digitally will be accepted. Digitally created works must be based on photography. No artwork that has been in a SPACe Gallery show or in the Gift Shop within the past 12 months will be accepted. Cash prizes will be awarded in 2 categories. Designate in which category the entries should be judged; The jury reserves the right to change categories when appropriate. COLOR or BLACK & WHITE/MONOCHROMATIC.
1st Place- $400
2nd Place - $250
3rd Place - $100
Honorable Mention - $25

Notifications of acceptance sent: June 30
July 20-24 -- Shipped artwork arrives. Shipped artwork must include a prepaid return label or a check for payment to return artwork. Artwork will be returned in the materials in which it arrived. Funds received for return shipping will be refunded for sold artwork, if the cost to return remaining artwork is less than the funds provided. UPS or USPS are preferred.
July 15, 16, 17 -- Hand delivered artwork accepted, 11 am - 2 pm
Aug. 7 – Reception 5 - 7 pm
Sept. 4 -- Pick up artwork 2:30-4 pm. Shipped work will be sent by
Sept. 25.
♦ $15 entry fee per item. $10 for SPACe members with coupon; Limit of 4 entries per artist. Outside measurements cannot exceed 30" wide.
♦ All entered artwork MUST BE FOR SALE.

Artwork that is juried into the show may be used for publicity, such as Facebook, YouTube and the SPACe website, as well as on printed materials, such as posters and postcards.
