Selection Process:
The jurors will select which artwork will be exhibited by careful examination of all submitted entries; including those submitted for the 17 and Under. With no exceptions, jurors have the sole responsibility for the selection of artworks. MOAH and MOAH:CEDAR reserve the right to not display work that does not meet eligibility requirements or follow the guidelines herein.

Jurors:
Katherine Nestved, Arts Coordinator for the City of Santa Clarita. Nestved supervises seven exhibit spaces and manages the City's public and civic art projects. She completed her Bachelors of Fine Art from California State Univeristy, Bakersfield and received her Masters of Fine Art from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Previously, she was the Galley Director for Studio Channel Islands Art Center in Camarillo where she was responsible for hundreds of museum level exhibits. She has also held posistions with Gagosian, Todd Madigan Gallery, and the Career Center at Pratt Institute. As a guest speaker, Nestved's most recent engagements were for the 2020 LA Art Show's panel discussions and 2019 Americans for the Arts Convention. Nestved has been a juror for numerous exhibits and organizations including the Santa Clarita Artists Association, Westlake Village Art Guild, Congressional District Annual Congressional Art Competition, and the Antelope Valley Fair.

George Davis, Public Art Coordinator for the City of Palmdale

Davis is an artist who has previously worked in film production design and museum registration. He graduated cum laude from Boston University with a B.S. in Film Production, and A.A. and A.S. degrees from Moorpark College. His experience in the arts comes from the ongoing exposure and study of production and exhibition design methods, and the management of world-class art collections. Davis' career started in film production and transitioned shortly after into production design. This experience had the opposite of the intended effect, however, and he eventually departed the film industry to spend two years dedicated to independent study in painting, figure drawing, perspective, illustration, and animation. Consequently, he transitioned to a collections position at the Autry Museum of the American West where he worked exclusively with the permanent collection and was the collections manager for the annuel Masters of the American West Exhibition. From that point on, he has managed collections for the Museum of Contemporary Art, The Broad, and several other private collections. He has worked professionally as an expert art installer and has travelled as a courier for contemporary art exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. As an artist he has developed a signature style with hard lines, intertwining shapes, and abstract influences which he uses in his paintings and drawings. At the same time, he enjoys exploration in photography, logo design, character design, and has painted an occasional mural.
