JUROR – QUINTON BEMILLER
Quinton Bemiller has taught painting, drawing, design/color theory and art history at the college level for 14 years—first at Chaffey College and then at Norco College (Riverside Community College District), where he is a tenured Associate Professor of Art. He has organized more than 60 art exhibitions across all media, while serving as the director of Norco College Art Gallery, director of the W. Keith & Janet Kellogg Gallery at Cal Poly Pomona University, and co-director/co-owner of Project_210, a former gallery space in Pasadena, CA.

Known as a master colorist, Bemiller’s expressive abstract paintings are influenced by his experiences of the California landscape. As a young artist, he studied with watercolorists Milford Zornes, Henry Fukuhara, Chris van Winkle and Robert Hallett. His paintings have been shown at Launch L.A., Offramp Gallery, LAX, Armory Center for the Arts, Palos Verdes Art Center, Torrance Art Museum, UC Riverside, Golden West College and Los Angeles Municipal Gallery. Quinton Bemiller has an extensive fine arts education, having earned an A.A. at Pasadena City College, a B.F.A. at Lesley University, and an M.F.A. at Claremont Graduate University. He also holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, San Bernardino.

Quinton Bemiller has served as a juror, lecturer, demonstrator and workshop instructor for numerous Southern California art organizations. Since 2006, his popular Los Angeles Gallery Tours have provided an opportunity to explore the contemporary art scene, with occasional travel tours to other cities including New York, Denver, San Francisco and San Diego. Born in Arcadia California, Bemiller grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and is a fifth-generation Californian. He currently lives in Riverside, CA with his wife and three daughters.
