About Performances at the Superior Community Center

Performance artists located in Boulder County are invited to submit qualifications and a proposal to be considered to perform at the new Community Center at 1500 Coalton Road. The Superior Community Center has been built with the idea of bringing Superior residents of all ages together and it features the following amenities: 

+        An open area offers stadium seating for small performances
+        Flexible seating to accommodate a variety performanance sizes from staging up to approximately 20'x20' to up close and personal immersive
+        Attendance is expected to be 300-1,000
+        Ample natural light from skylights and roll up glass garage doors
+        A modern industrial design that incorporates the arts and engages the senses
+        Wi-Fi accessibility
+        An in-house café and tap that serves delicious bites and drinks

The selected performances will take place on one of the following dates unless otherwise proposed: Nov. 5th, Nov. 19th, Dec. 3rd, Dec. 17th.

A site visit prior to application is recommended by not required. The hours of operation to come on your time are:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Should you decide to visit, please do not ask to speak to someone during your visit. You may make arrangements ahead of time to speak with staff onsite by contacting the contact listed below.

Selection Process Overview

A CAPS subcommittee will review the applications and select a number of performers to be recommended to the Board of Trustees for a performance or performance series. The number of selected performances will be based on schedule availability at the Center and the performer’s proposed fee.

Application Requirements

Application Process

Applications will only be accepted through www.callforentry.org. It is free for applicants to create a profile and upload images, audio and video of past performances. In applying for a performance date(s), applicants will be asked to submit a variety of information listed below to be evaluated by CAPS.

1.      Photo of past performance: Applicants will be required to submit one photo of your choosing.

2.      Video clip(s) of past performances: Applicants will be required to submit at least one and up to three digital video clips and a corresponding list describing the videos (date and location of performance).

3.      Sound clips of past performances: If applicable, you may submit up to two audio clips and a corresponding list describing the audio.

4.      Proposed performance(s) schedule for the Community Center, including set up, performance time and clean-up.

5.      Proposed performance fee

6.      A brief letter of interest, including a description of the proposed performance, any staging or other requirements for your performance. The Community Center does not have a sound system or a stage, so if you need to propose the rental of equipment, please do so.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents and be located in Boulder County.
