Original Description:
This is a chance to enhance your career by mingling during the Art Basel Miami week with the movers and shakers, experience what the fuss is all about, meet peers, explore new options, make contacts, see art, see art, see art!
Your residency starts 11.15.21, 2 weeks before Art week in Miami starts, see all the Graffiti artists working in famous Wynwood, every empty storefront filling up with pop-up galleries, artists getting hotel rooms in Miami Beach as their own gallery, ready to show their work.
With the opening of Art Miami and Art Basel the frenzy starts: Hundreds of private planes, busloads of Gallery Girls and hundreds of art handlers and of course collectors populate the city.
We provide you with full access to our art studio in bohemian Coconut Grove, a small cottage with a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and of course space to create, surrounded by a lush green garden. Easy access to public transportation, 15 minutes to downtown Miami. Here you are sheltered from the hustle of the exhibitions, here you can recharge and process all the impressions. You could use the studio for an open house to share your work.
Who we are:
We are two artists who were in your shoes, trying to figure out how to navigate the art business full of unknowns and expensive traps.
We remember how expensive and frustrating it can be to visit a new city, full of hopes and dreams.
We hope that a stay for 4 weeks in Miami will open doors for you, will inspire you!
