THE EXHIBITION: As part of our ongoing commitment to promote the visual arts and enhance the quality of life for our community, Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery (EWCG) invites you to submit entries for Feminist Insight: Telling Her Story. This is an invitation to examine roles of women now and in the past; progress towards gender equality; and outlook for the future of womenkind. Let’s tell Herstory.

 The six-week gallery exhibition will have two parts: The physical gallery exhibition and then an on-line exhibition. All selected artwork will exhibit on-line. The exhibition juror will select certain works to be exhibited in the gallery.

 SALES: 30% commission on all sales. All work will be available for purchase.

 JUROR:  Rose-Ann San Martino, a professional artist, has worked with EWCDC since its relocation to Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2008. She is currently a board member and grant writer for Ellington-White. San Martino studied drawing and painting at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. She has exhibited work locally both in group and one-person exhibitions. Her work is in private collections throughout the United States.

ONLINE IMAGE SUBMISSIONS: Submissions accepted beginning January 07, 2022, via CaFE (Call for Entry). There is no additional fee to use the CaFE online application system. All entries must be uploaded using this online system. Please do not upload digital images that contain borders or text info that is not part of the original work. Entries must be received by Midnight, February 20, 2022. 

 ENTRY FEE: Each artist may submit up to three images for a non-refundable fee of $35. The entry fee does not cover shipping expenses.  The artist is responsible for all shipping costs. Credit cards are accepted for payment via the CaFE online submission process.

Work Pick-Up: May 4 – 7 from 11-4 by appointment

Application Requirements

 ACCEPTED WORKS: Accepted works designated for gallery display must arrive ready to install by March 12, 2022. Work received outside of this time frame may not be exhibited. The Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery reserves the right to exclude any work that is not professionally presented. All works must remain on display for the entire exhibition.

 SHIPPED WORKS: Ship to Ellington-White Contemporary, 113 Gillespie St, Fayetteville, NC 28301. All work must be packed in reusable containers. DO NOT use Styrofoam peanuts when packing artwork. Artwork should be shipped prepaid via UPS, USPS or FedEx, and must be accompanied with a prepaid return-shipping label. COD deliveries will not be accepted.

 HAND DELIVERIES: Ellington-White Contemporary, 113 Gillespie St, Fayetteville, NC 28301 (please call to make an appointment.) At the end of the exhibition, hand delivered entries may be picked up May 4 - 7, 2022 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm or by appointment. Accepted work left for 30 days after the designated return dates will be disposed of at the discretion of the gallery.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to all artists residing in the United States who are 18 years and older. All work must be original and not previously exhibited at Ellington-White Contemporary
