CALL DESCRIPTION – HOLIDAY ROAD is a national juried exhibition organized by TAGat120ART, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the unbridled pursuit of creative expression. The theme asks artists to think about the journey and the art of getting there. Planes, trains and automobiles, horseback or barge. Highways, byways, waterways and paths less traveled. Draw it, paint it, assemble it, or photograph it and show us how you got there and what you saw along the way.

Presented as a simultaneous live and online show,  the exhibition will hang in our downtown Taylor, TX gallery,120Art, through December 4, 2021. Artwork will be separated into two categories:  2D and photography. 

ELIGIBILITY - All artists 18 years or older, working in the mediums of painting, drawing, photography and mixed media are invited to submit up to 3 pieces for jury selection that address the concept of Holiday Road.

 DATES AND ENTRY DETAILS -  Submit images of your work at 120 dpi to www.artist.callforentry.org no later than midnight, October 9, 2021. Successful entries will be announced by October 15, 2021. Work must be delivered to TAGat120ART, 120 W. 2nd Street, Taylor, TX 76574, no later than October 27, 2021. 
Artist and opening reception at 4pm, Saturday October 30, 2021. Show closes December 4, 2021. Works not sold during the show will be shipped out at artist’s expense, or picked up in person no later than December 7, 2021.

FEES AND PRIZES - Artists may enter up to 3 pieces for $35.00 in the categories of 2D and photography. Cash prizes will be awarded at the opening reception and the amounts for each of the 2 categories are:  1st prize - $500, 2nd prize - $250, and 3rd prize -  a Jerry’s Artarama Gift card.

Application Requirements

OWNERSHIP & TRANSFER It is agreed the title of the artwork is vested in the undersigned and shall pass directly from the undersigned to the purchaser upon sale.

TRANSFER FOR SALE The undersigned hereby appoints TAGat120ART as an agent to sell the artwork listed above for agreed price. The rendering of this consignment agreement shall in no sense be construed as constituting a sale of the artwork to TAGat120ART

COMMISSION: The undersigned agrees that TAGat120ART shall receive as compensation for the sale of the artwork, 40% of the sale price.

CONDITION OF ARTWORK: As we are a retail gallery, all artwork accepted must be in a condition that can be displayed. This includes but is not limited to the framing of artwork. PAYMENT: The Gallery shall collect all proceeds for and on behalf of the undersigned and remit them to the undersigned within thirty days of collection, after deducting compensation as provided herein.

LENGTH OF AGREEMENT The undersigned agrees to this consignment and the representation of them and their artwork from October 30 through December 4, 2021, as described in the submission guidelines. All artwork not sold during this duration must be picked up or arrangements for return shipment made by December 7, 2021.

INSURANCE RESPONSIBILITY Artists shall be required to carry insurance on said artwork.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Art submitted must be the original creation of the artist named. Not all submissions will be accepted. Work submitted to exhibitions must be available for hanging for the duration of the show. TAGat120ART will collect a 40% commission from the sale of all work. Unsold pieces must be collected promptly at the end of each show. Work left more than 3 days past the announced pickup date will be subject to a $0.50/day storage fee. TAGat120ART will handle artwork with all possible care and consideration but the artist agrees to hold it harmless for loss or damage to artwork submitted. The Artist gives TAGat120ART permission to use images of all submitted work for promotional purposes, including but not limited to digital media and print promotion.
