By entering the 2021 Centennial Card Set Design Competition, Entrants:

1. Warrant to The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County that they have created and own all rights to the work submitted (including all elements of the work) and that nothing within any work has been copied or added from another person’s work.

2. Warrant that the whole copyright and any other form of intellectual property right in the work is vested in them and does not infringe the rights of any other person.

3. Warrant that they have not in any way assigned, licensed, disposed of, or otherwise encumbered any of their intellectual property rights which allow them to deal freely with the work and the copyright therein.

4. Warrant that they have obtained appropriate model or property releases from any persons and/or property owners requiring such, featured in their submitted paintings, sculpture, mixed media art and photographs allowing publication in any and all media forms.
 
5. Acknowledge and agree that The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County may exhibit or otherwise display the work during The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County sponsored events, as well as on The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County website and The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County promotional materials.

6. Acknowledge and agree that The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County may reproduce and may allow reproduction of winning images in The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County approved publications and promotional materials. Credit will be given to the artist for any work(s) used.

7. Acknowledge that The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County relies fully upon the warranties by Entrants when submitting their entries for consideration to The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County Curated Competition.  Entrants shall indemnify and hold The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County harmless from any claims, actions, proceedings, costs and expenses arising out of or related to any allegation that the relevant Entrant did not own or is not wholly entitled and authorized to allow publication and reproduction of the work by The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County.

8. Acknowledge and agree that The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County reserves the right to disqualify any winner not providing the required personal information, headshot, and/or winning art piece in the requested file format and size within two weeks of The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County request via the contact information supplied by the entrant. Replacement winners will be selected at the judge’s discretion.

9. Acknowledge that curating is a blind process.  Artist’s names will only be disclosed to the judges after the curating process has been completed. The decision of the judges of the competition shall be final and binding.

10. Acknowledge that entrants donate the full usage rights to The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County to reproduce the work in print and electronic formats to benefit The Salvation Army. However, Artists retain the rights to their work.

11. The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County, the Sponsors, or Venues showing an exhibition of winners shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any entry. 

12. Acknowledge and agree that submission of an entry to the competition automatically constitutes the contestant's acceptance of all terms and conditions set forth in these rules. It also acknowledges and accepts the right of The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County to use the Artist's and information, as well as the winning images, in exhibitions and promotions, in any and all forms of print, electronic and digital media, related to The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County Curated Competition following the 2021 Competition winners announcement.

13. Acknowledge that the deadline for entries is November 1, 2021. Entry fees cannot be refunded, once submitted.

14. Acknowledge that the 6 finalist will be announced on/or about December 2021.

INFORMATION FOR THE WINNERS:

1. There are six winners in this competition.  The 1st Place Winner among the six finalists will be announced at the Award Ceremony on March 2nd, 2022.

2. Upon notice of being selected, winners must submit a high resolution digital file of the winning artwork in Tif format at a minimum of 50MB but not to exceed 75mb. 

3.  All of the winning entries (as determined by our judges) must not exceed  5’ x 5’ (60”x60’’).

4. The six selected pieces will need to be framed at the Artist’s expense for presentation at the Gallery:   

• All Paintings and mixed Media should be framed accordingly.
• Photographs should be printed as high quality single image prints, and must be window matted and mounted on mat board with outer mat dimensions not exceeding 60”X60”. Matte-less, full frame images mounted on a floating board or Dibond frame are also acceptable.
• Sculptures should be appropriately mounted and secured for presentation and safety.
