Anyone other than the artist must have a signed permission slip from the artist in order for the museum to authorize release of any object. Shipped entries will be returned to the artist prepaid by the Museum within the state of Alaska only. All entries should include value when not for sale (NFS) for insurance purposes. If for sale, entries must be marked with sales price (Museum Shop will take a 25% commission on sales) and artist must agree that the work is for sale throughout the duration of the exhibition and the price will not be altered. For second-round jurrying, entries may be hand delivered to the Museum from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, after the August 1 notification. Shipped entries must be prepaid to: AAJ 2012, Anchorage Museum, 625 C Street, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 The artist is responsible for door-to-door shipment. Note: All shipments require a deliverable street address as UPS or air freight will not deliver to P.O. boxes. All accepted entries will be considered as temporary loans to the Museum from September 4, 2012, until their return. The Anchorage Museum Association will retain a 25% commission on all sales from the exhibition in Anchorage. All works will be for sale unless noted as NFS (not for sale). Prices must be indicated when artwork delivered to the museum and may not be altered throughout the run of the exhibition. All entries will be given proper care in handling and storage, and the Museum will provide coverage for the fair market value of the work or the fair cost of repair while on loan and during return transit. The museum cannot be responsible, however,for minor wear or tear resulting from normal handling. Payment to the artists for awards and purchases will be made following the close of the exhibit in Anchorage. The Museum retains the right to photograph and reproduce works for purposes of documentation, publicity and education. If the artist fails to pick up work beyond 30 days after written notification, the object will be placed in storage at the artists risk and expense. The All Alaska Juried XXXIV exhibition will tour Alaska for approximately one year until January 2014. If your work is accepted into the exhibition it will be assumed that it is able to tour for that year. If your work is unable to travel we need to be informed in writing prior to September 1, 2012.
