AIS 13th Annual National Juried Exhibition at Eckert & Ross Fine Art, Indianapolis, IN Judged by Kevin Macpherson, AISM Our Goal: “To promote the appreciation of American Impressionism through exhibitions, workshops and other media.” Membership is open to U.S. Citizen artists and other U.S. Citizens supporting American Impressionism. AIS defines “American Impressionism” as: The concern for light on form, color, as well as concern for brushstrokes. It allows equal latitude between these attributes, and recognizes not a single definitive element, but several factors, including light and hue, visual breakdown of detail, concern for contemporary life, and cultivation of direct and spontaneous approaches to a subject. Mundy, Albert Handell, Kevin Macpherson, and Zhiwei Tu ELIGIBILITY / REQUIREMENTS There will be no exceptions to deadlines, specifications or rules. MEMBERSHIP Must be a current (or new) member of AIS (U.S. Citizenship required). 2012 membership dues of $50 must be paid by July 12th, 2012. Download membership form at www.americanimpressionistsociety.org MEDIUM Oil, Pastel, Acrylic or Watercolor. No mixed media. Work must be original, impressionistic in style, have been created within the last 2 years, and not have been in a previous AIS show. SIZE & QTY Paintings shall not be larger than 30”x36” (or up to 1080 sq. in.) canvas size (each). Two paintings may be submitted. Maximum of one painting per artist will be accepted into show. FRAMING Paintings must be suitably framed in a fine art gallery-quality wood frame, wired and ready for hanging. No metal frames. Unsuitable or damaged framing will disqualify. Repair or replacement of frame is financial responsibility of artist. Gallery will assist. LIABILITY & AGREEMENT All entries will be made at the risk of the entrant. Care and caution will be exercised in the handling of all art work. Neither AIS, or Gallery may be held responsible for loss or damage. Shipping insurance is the responsibility of the artist, gallery is insured. Submission of entries and entry fee constitute agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus. Digital images are assumed to be accurate representations of the entrant’s original art works. Artwork that differs markedly from the submitted image will be disqualified. SALES COMMISSION Artist 60%, Gallery 30%, AIS 10%. Price works according to your standard pricing. No price changes will be accepted once you have submitted your entry. Please proof your text BEFORE submitting to this show. All art work must be for sale. ENTRY FEE is $48 for one or two paintings, to be paid with credit card on CaFÉ site, or by check, made out to American Impressionist Society, and mailed to: T.R.
