Exhibit Title:  Verdant Heart

Theme description:  As COVID runs its course, we hope to look forward to a Verdant Heart; please submit your vision of what this is.

“Green fingers are an extension of a verdant heart.” (Russell Page). In this positive sense, within our workplace environment, it means that you have brought in with you an aura of buoyant and cheerful energy. This is happening because you are glowing with the green shoots of life in your core – your heart.

Exhibit Dates: Art Opening April 9, 2022, last day of the show May 27, 2022

Exhibit location: Fe Gallery 1100 65th street Sacramento, CA 95819. Artwork will also be available for view and purchase online at www.FEgallery.com.

Commission: 40% to Fe Gallery, 60% to the artist. The sale price is what you list; we will take 40% of the sale price (your listed price). *commission will come out of the sale/listed price.

Prize: $350 cash prize to the “Fe Favorite,” $100 2nd place and $50 to 3rd,  selected by a jury of Fe Gallery representatives.

Opening reception: Saturday, April 9, 2022, 6 pm to 9 pm

(Art that is accepted into the show must be at the gallery by 4/1/2022)

 

Application Requirements

Medium and Dimensions:  

2d (flat) and 3d (sculpture) Sorry, no video. 

Any work that can be reproduced (i.e. digital painting) must be hand-signed and state what edition and what number print of the edition and how many prints per edition.

Dimension limits:

2d: 36" x 36" including frame max. No min.
3d: 5’x5’x5’ max., 8”x8”x8” min. (smaller 3d work may be shown if the artist provides an adequate locking display case for protection).

Submit one image minimum for each art piece. Short Artist Statement about your art. Website or other social media.

It must have appropriate hanging mechanisms (wire preferred). The Gallery reserves the right to add a wire if necessary. 

The artwork is to be clean and undamaged.

All 2d work must be either framed or mounted on a rigid surface (no pinning paper to the wall.),

3d work must be freestanding or wall-mounted (we will not drill or attach to our pedestals and tables.)

Eligibility Criteria

Artists who reside in the United States are eligible to apply. All applicants 18 years and older will be considered regardless of race, gender, gender variance, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, political opinion or affiliation, or mental or physical ability.

Any artist 18 years or older and who meets the theme and application requirements is eligible to apply.
