The annual juried All Media exhibition showcases artwork from Southern California artists ages 18 and older working across all visual creative disciplines including but not limited to: painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, craft, installation, video, fiber, and digital media. Monetary awards are given to artists whose outstanding submissions are selected by the invited guest juror.

LOAN AGREEMENTS
Completed loan agreements are due Friday, June 3. Forms can be downloaded here. Please submit the agreement via e-mail, post, or drop-off. Artworks will not be exhibited unless a completed and signed agreement is received.

PRESENTATION
Work over 60 lbs. must be handled by the artist during installation and removal. Artists are responsible for providing all special or unique presentation components. Compromised craftsmanship may be grounds for the removal of an artwork from the exhibition.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORK TO IRVINE FINE ARTS CENTER
Drop-off dates are June 6-11, unless other arrangements have been agreed to in advance. Shipped entries must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10, packaged in a reusable container for return. The City of Irvine/Irvine Fine Arts Center will not reimburse shipping fees or insurance. Shipping costs and insurance are the responsibility of the artist. Shipped artwork must be accompanied by a pre-paid return shipping label.

PICK UP OF ARTWORK
Artworks will be available for pick-up October 17–22. Shipped work will be returned in the prepaid package provided by the artist.

LIABILITY
Every reasonable precaution will be taken to ensure protection and careful handling for all artworks. Irvine Fine Arts Center assumes no insurance liability for damage, theft, or other loss occurred during the delivery or pick up of any artwork; insurance coverage applies only within the duration of the exhibition.

SALES
Irvine Fine Arts Center will retain 25% commission on any work sold during the exhibition. Artists are under no obligation to list their work for sale. A declared value is necessary on the loan agreement for insurance, even if an artwork is not for sale.

AGREEMENT
Submission of an entry form shall constitute agreement with all the conditions outlined in this prospectus. Irvine Fine Arts Center reserves the right to photograph and reproduce art for use in promotional material. Artworks must be on view for the duration of the exhibition.
 

ABOUT ALL MEDIA 2022 JUROR

Joseph Daniel Valencia is the Associate Curator at the Vincent Price Art Museum at East Los Angeles College, where he oversees exhibitions, educational programs, and public programs for the campus community and general public. He previously worked at the City of Irvine, the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, ONE Archives at the USC Libraries, and UCR ARTSblock. He holds a Master of Arts in Curatorial Practice from USC and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from California State University, Fullerton.

He has contributed to local and national publications such as Aperture, Contemporary Art Review Los Angeles, KCET “Artbound”, the OC Register, and the U.S. Latinx Art Forum, among others. 

Application Requirements

ENTRY FEES 

$20 for one entry. Each additional entry is $12. Maximum six entries per artist.   

SUBMISSION PROCESS 

All entries must be submitted through CAFÉ; submission fees are nonrefundable. Carefully review your file formatting and file submission type thoroughly before submitting your entry. Irvine Fine Arts Center will not reimburse applicants who submit incorrect files in their application. 

Eligibility Criteria

ELIGIBILITY 

The exhibition is open to all visual artists residing in Southern California ages 18 and older. All entries must be original and not shown previously at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. Eligible media: painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, craft, installation, video, and digital art. Artwork must be made within the past two years.
