Artists Selected Must Agree To the Following: Availability: All works must be available through the entire run of the exhibit. Do not submit works for jury that might be sold before the Land Through the Lens Exhibit 2013 time frame. Weight limit: Wall art must not exceed 35 pounds in weight. Delivery: Art works selected must be delivered on or before February 25, 2013. Artist’s name, title of work and price must be attached to all accepted work shipped, along with a complete inventory. Shipping: Accepted work must be shipped and/or delivered at the artist’s expense and if by third party shipping, properly and securely packed in a single reusable carton or crate (NO Styrofoam peanuts) to The Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder CO 80302, attn Galleries. Works must be shipped ready for installation. All 2-D works must have hangers or be wired for hanging. Works must arrive by FEBRUARY 25, 2013. Artists are responsible for return shipping of art that is not sold and must provide pre-paid return shipping bills (one shipping bill for each package), including insurance if desired. Detailed instructions will be sent to those artists whose works are accepted by the jury. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist. Return shipping bills, including insurance must accompany work. If artwork cannot be repacked in original materials, additional packaging must be supplied by the artist. If packing materials and shipping payment are not included, the work will not be returned. Sale of Artwork: The Dairy provides publicity and assistance in the sale of pieces. Artists agree to a 35 percent commission collected by The Dairy. Payments of 65% of the purchase price will be mailed to artists within two weeks of the close of the exhibit. Submission of entry constitutes agreement by artists to the conditions set forth. A consignment agreement for exhibition artwork will be executed soon after selection notification has been made. Insurance: The Dairy’s insurance covers damage, loss or theft of artwork consigned to The Dairy. Artists are strongly encouraged to obtain insurance for their artwork. Quality of Artwork and Installation: Works not properly prepared for installation will not be installed. Sawtooth hangers, clips and loop hooks are not acceptable. The Dairy Center for the Arts reserves the right to reject work that is deemed unstable, that differs from the submitted digital image/and or description of work, or that is not professionally presented. Publicity Permission: The Dairy reserves the right to photograph work for publicity. By entering your work in this juried exhibition, you agree to the use of your name, likeness, certain personal information and artwork in any publicity material developed for the exhibition. You also agree to provide Boulder County Parks and Open Space with a photograph of self, a short biography and a photograph of artwork to be included in an exhibit catalog should the county decide to create one. Also, applicants agree that the county may post submitted photographs on the county website to promote the event. Other Requirements: You must provide the date (month/year) and the property where the photograph was taken along with a caption. You must not infringe on the rights of any other photographer or person, or submit images that involve the willful harassment of wildlife or damage to the environment by the photographer. Failure to comply with all of the contest provisions will lead to the disqualification of your entry.
