The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is inviting photographers/visual artists to share their stories of older adults in community and caregivers who have been caring for their aging loved one. We provide a platform for artistic expression in order to foster a dialogue and drive innovation in the photographic arts to encourage everyone to care for those who once cared for us, as we believe caregiving for older adults is one of the highest honors. 

AWARDS:
Entry Fee:     Free

The National Council on Aging  will grant the following awards:
1 First Prize: $1000 
1 Second Prize: $500 
4 Awards of Merit: $250 each 
10 Honorable Mentions $100 each

Special benefit for the winners of the First Prize, Second Prize, and Merit Awards: NCOA will provide a one-year free promotion and support for artists to build a new professional portfolio website using the FolioLink website service for artists and photographers. If you already have a FolioLink website account, this benefit will allow you to have a second website free of charge for two years.

Application Requirements

REQUIREMENTS 
U.S.A. based professional and amateur photographers/visual artists (National Call)

Total Media:  Minimum: 2, Maximum: 10

All entrants must use the online entry system:
1.   Access the entry site and create a free personal account
2.  Image resolution: File size (long dimension) no smaller than 960 pixels and no larger than 4600 pixels, JPEG format, Maximum 5MB for on site NCOA gallery exhibition.
3.  Please name the file containing only the following info: Artist’s last-name-first-name_Image-title
 You MUST title each image; “untitled” is not allowed.

DEADLINES & INFORMATION
Applicant submission deadline: May 16, 2022 (midnight, MDT)
Announcement of award winners: May 30, 2022
Opening of NCOA online gallery: June 6, 2022
Awards mailed to winners: June 12, 2022
