Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the 2022 Boulder Art Association National Juried Art Exhibition. Boulder Art Association is the oldest art association in Boulder, Colorado and continues to provide high quality art shows. The 2022 juried show will be held at R Gallery in downtown Boulder, half a block from the Pearl Street Mall. We are seeking artworks from artists living in the U.S. in all styles and mediums, with no specific theme.

The show will run April 27, 2022 through May 29, 2022. The deadline for submission is April 4, 2022, midnight Mountain Time.  

Juror: Edson Beckett          
Edson Beckett has been an art teacher for over 39 years, the last 34 at Flagler Palm Coast High School in Florida. He was named "Teacher of the Year" by the district in 2009, and received the 'Extraordinary Educator' award in 2017. Beckett teaches photography and graphic design classes, as well as the portfolio art AP class at the high school. He has helped students obtain over a million dollars in college art scholarships to top art schools in the southeast US. More than 50 of his former students have gone on to pursue careers in the arts following graduation. Outside of the classroom, Beckett himself is a successful artist, winning the Flagler County Artist of the Year award in 2010 for his work in pottery and photography.
Judge: Anna Kaye
Anna Kaye is a Denver artist creating drawings and paintings inspired by the natural world. Her art education is from Skidmore College, Yale University, and Washington University.  She is the founder of Pink Progression and organizes large-scale exhibitions that promote social action. She has taught art at Metropolitan State University and currently teaches at the Denver Art Museum.  She is represented by the Sandra Phillips Gallery in Denver.


The Boulder Art Association (BAA) 2022 exhibition is open to artists of all mediums.

Eligibility
Open to all artists in the United States. See Shipping for artwork requiring shipping. 
All artwork must be original in concept and execution. 
Artists in all media are encouraged to apply. Categories include: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and mixed-media.
The maximum size is 48 inches in the longest dimension (including frame). However, it is best to submit pieces less than 30" wide, including frame or case. We only have a few spots for pieces up to 48" wide.
Reproduction giclée's will not be accepted. 
Work must have been completed in the last three years and not previously shown in any Boulder Art Association exhibit.

Entries
A maximum of five works may be submitted. 
A non-refundable Entry Fee must accompany your submission: $20 for one entry for BAA members ($40 for non-members); $25 for two entries ($45 non-members); $30 for three entries ($50 non-members), $35 for four entries ($55 non-members), $40 for five entries ($60 non-members).

Shipping
Accepted artwork must arrive no later than April 20. Work will be returned by June 15, 2022 unless otherwise agreed upon. A prepaid return label must be provided if sending the work by carrier.

Sales
All sales will be handled through R Gallery. A 50% commission will be charged. All pieces must remain up for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale. R Gallery reserves the right to sell accepted works online during the exhibition. R Gallery will send checks to the artist for the sale of their work by the 15th of the month following the month in which the sale occurs.
