Call Description

x1000

Call for Entry

Location: Florida CraftArt, 501 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL

Exhibition Dates: August 8 – September 11, 2026

Vision

Florida CraftArt presents x1000, a curated exhibition highlighting artists who work with duplicable processes such as mold‑making, printmaking, and other methods that allow ideas to be produced in multiples. The show brings together works that use repetition as both technique and concept, emphasizing how form and meaning evolve through iterative creation.

Across the exhibition, subtle variations accumulate to reveal new interpretations. By exploring how repetition transforms an idea over time, x1000 invites viewers to consider the creative potential of multiplicity and the ways repeated forms can challenge assumptions about originality and artistic intent.

Note: x1000 is a “hybrid” open-call and invitational exhibition, meaning that it will include a combination of artists invited directly by the curator and artists chosen from the open call-for-entry by the curator.
